Adventure Life provided a grant for $2000 to Mantay shelter for cleaning and hygiene products. The funds allowed the facility to maintain sanitation conditions, as well as carry out personal hygiene workshops where mothers and children could learn hygiene habits.
We are very grateful for all the help of Adventure Life!
The Casa de Acogida Mantay is a private initiative, located in the city of Cusco, which contributes to the work of local authorities in the protection, treatment and empowerment of pregnant adolescents victims of violence, with the aim of these young mothers assuming their Maternity in an area of freedom and confidence and thus be able to stand on their own, making them respect their rights and breaking the chain of violence, allowing their children to grow up in a safe environment. However we do not have funds to carry out prevention activities.
Mantay is a project that was born in May 2000 and is supported by donations and solidarity initiatives and responsible actions of companies, associations and donations in a personal capacity that help make this project a reality.
Since the birth of Mantay to date, there have been a total of 328 minors, 163 children and 165 adolescent mothers, of which 90% come from rural areas, and only 10% from marginal urban areas. At present, 26 minors, 12 children and 14 teenage mothers live in the house, 2 of whom are pregnant. We also support 18 other former beneficiaries and their 24 children with the care and feeding of children while working.
When they arrive, many have health problems, malnutrition, diarrhea, parasites, urinary and intestinal infections, the latter being products of unsanitary conditions in which they lived and scarce, if not nonexistent, hygiene habits.

We are very grateful for all the help of Adventure Life. Thanks to their support we have been able to keep the house clean, and to teach the young mothers and their children habits of personal hygiene and cleaning, in order to avoid health problems, malnutrition, diarrhea, parasites, urinary and intestinal infections, the latter being products of unsanitary conditions in which they lived and scarce, if not nonexistent, hygiene habits.

From Mantay we want to send a thank you for the help received from Adventure Life. You have guaranteed the fundamental rights of children and adolescents living at Mantay.
Thank you very much for everything, a big hug from all of us! Shampoo for everyone! (Milagros Polo)
The cruise was amazing. The crew on Le Jacques Cartier were all the best. All the stops were interesting cities with great excursions. We kayaked Lake Rotiti and explored the glow worm caves. The leaders, Georgia and Aaron were the best. We would recommend this cruise to everyone.
