A lovely seaside resort town on the Aegean coast, Kusadaşi is famous for sparkling waters, sandy beaches and enticing shops filled with designer clothing and hand-woven carpets and leather goods. More than these modern trappings, it is the gateway to Ephesus – the UNESCO-listed, 4,000-year-old city – as well as the Temple of Artemis (one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World), Basilica of St. John, and House of the Virgin Mary.
The Greek isle of Patmos has a rich Christian heritage - the Monastery of Saint John was founded in 1088 and is a UNESCO World Heritage site, as is the Cave of the Apocalypse, the grotto where John the Apostle received the visions he recorded in the Book of Revelation. The island’s white-sand beaches, secluded coves, and beautiful marina make it a popular destination for worshippers of the sun.
Rich with natural beauty and colorful history, Rhodes represents one of the most architecturally varied locations in Europe. Hellenistic, Byzantine, Medieval and Turkish influences intermingle with abundant sunshine and dry air to cast a magnificent light over the island that the ancients dedicated to Apollo, the God of Light. High on a cliff, the ruins of the Temple of Athena sit amidst the beautifully preserved Acropolis at Lindos.
From day to night, Marmaris is alive with activity. Shops, restaurants and a bustling waterfront dock sparkle under sun and stars alike. Beyond the buzz lie, historical sites and natural landscapes characteristic of this pivotally positioned locale, including Caunos archaeological site, the meandering Dylan River and lovely Isztuzu Beach, where sea turtles can be spotted sunning themselves.
On the Turkish Mediterranean, this high-end resort town with a Greek fishing heritage has retained its Ottoman-era character, beauty, and charm despite its modernity. Ladders lead to the sea, where a small beach is hemmed by mountains. Visit the Blue Cave, named for its dazzling sapphire-sheen and sun-drenched waters.
This is the place to dive in, hike up, paddle on and soar over. A charming harbor town with welcoming, walkable promenades and traditional architecture, Kaş is an excellent starting point for all manner of outdoor pursuits, surrounded by bays perfect for ship-wreck diving, the stunning Taurus Mountains and ancient ruins to add some intrigue to the adventure, including vestiges of Antiphellos, the original Lycian town that settled here.
Paphos offers an abundance of architectural wonders – in fact, the entire city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Don’t miss the spectacular House of Dionysus mosaics, charming Omodos Village and the solid rock catacombs of the Tombs of the Kings. Paphos is perhaps best known as the birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love. Her spirit lives on in the ancient ruins and temples, as well as the modern harbor, palm-lined waterfront and sun-splashed beaches where love is always in the air.
The wine flows freely in Limassol, and so does the festive atmosphere. The center of Cyprus' wine industry, Limassol is home to a bustling bar and restaurant scene, as well as numerous wineries that are open for tours and tastings. The city seems to be engaged in constant celebration, staging elaborate festivals throughout the year. The waterfront promenade offers a dizzying array of traditional, handmade goods to expensive designer labels.
The pulse of Larnaca is found around the palm-lined promenade, filled with seafood eateries and spots for coffee or cocktails. Its 6,000 years of offers much for history buffs, like the medieval fort and the Church of the biblical Saint Lazarus. The Zenobia shipwreck is among the many popular diving sites here, while the world’s last divided capital, Nicosia is a fascinating land journey.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!

Adventure Life has been an extraordinary travel resource for us over the years and today was no exception. Our River Cruise booking was handled by Jess (who has been our personal trip planner for several years) the same day as our inquiry. Suggestions were given for cabin choice and pre-trip options (that were not shown on the cruise line's website) like airport transfers and prepaid gratuities. Trip insurance recommendations followed and we were assigned a travel co-ordinator till the end of the tour. All we have to do is show up! Great service from friendly folks.

Our travel was flawless! The rider pickup (airport, hotel, ship) was seamless. Jane's recommendation for Emerald Cruise Sakara was everything I wanted but the experience was soooo much more. Adventure Life took care of each and every detail and this was the easiest of all my travels.
