Conservation and Your Costa Rica Vacation

Travel and Conservation

Scarlet macaws are being safeguarded at Carara National Park in Costa RicaTo assist conservation in Costa Rica, Adventure Life donates $20 of your Costa Rica vacation cost to the Carara National Park Foundation to assist in safeguarding the park's wildlife which includes the endangered Scarlet Macaw. The donation helps meet the staffing needs at the park, which is crucial for protecting wildlife from poachers.

Rural life & culture

Part of the experience of your Costa Rica vacation is the meeting of cultures, including direct contact with the rural communities, meeting and sharing with the local peoples, experiencing their reality of living, food, daily occupation, relaxation and culture. Guests will be able to see and understand the conditions and needs that these rural communities have to face daily, whilst experiencing what appears to be their idyllic and uncomplicated way of living.

The program encourages guests to bring with them any type of material that can be used in rural schools. For those who wish to participate on their Costa Rica vacation, we recommend any of the following articles: Pencils, sharpeners, folders, pens, chalk, crayons, calculators, scissors, glues, erasers and notebooks; Please note that drawing paper, educational posters and other items that will encourage the imagination of children, are also most important. Our aim is to offer a mutually rewarding experience for both children and travelers, one that will endure into the future. We will also enable any long-term support/contact if this is appropriate, please discuss this with us during your Costa Rica vacation.
