The Archipel I, formerly known as the Journey III, is one of the most comfortable cruise boats navigating the Galapagos archipelago. The Archipel I offers lots of space and comfort for naturalist and diving cruises, the artful combination of stability, grace and speed make this catamaran a perfect partner for a Galapagos discovery adventure.

The Archipel I offers guests 8 comfortable double cabins with windows to the outside, double and twin lower beds, private bathroom, cold/hot water, air conditioned, closet and night table.

On board there is also a social area with TV, VHS, DVD, library, comfortable dining room, varied and healthy food, bard interior and external on the sundeck, sundeck with comfortable chairs for relaxing.

Accommodations on board the Archipel I
All cabins have ocean views and offer all the amenities to feel like home during your vacation. Each cabin offers a private bath, hot water, air conditioning and a closet.

TWIN CABINS
Six cabins are equipped with two lower level twin beds, private bath facilities and windows to let in the fresh sea breeze.

MATRIMONIAL CABINS
Two cabins are equipped with one queen bed, private bath facilities and windows to let in the fresh sea breeze.

On Board Amenities
Each guest can enjoy well-furnished areas offering you your creature comforts and privacy. The Archipel I has a maximum capacity of 16 passengers allowing for both intimacy and camaraderie at the same time.

Enjoy ample resting areas for those who are looking for a quiet place to relax in the lazy mid-afternoon sun or after a busy a day spent exploring. Check out the gorgeous ocean views on the sundecks. Whether you feel like getting a little sun on your vacation, or you want the best place to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets over the Galapagos Islands, the sundecks are the best place to be.

For those with a thirst for knowledge, look in the “book nook” (the onboard mini-library) for a few books on the Islands in order to learn even more about what you’ve seen during the day. A great bar and lounge area is available where you will be served by a bartender who will be happy to attend to all your wants and needs whilst you relax.

You will find that apart from being a spacious and comfortable yacht, the Archipel I carries state of the art navigation and communication equipment on board. It also carries snorkeling gear, wetsuits, sea kayaks a DVD player with a flat screen TV and other amenities for your entertainment.

SHORE EXCURSIONS
Shore excursions are packed full of several activities and lots of fun. A typical visit to a landing site includes a nature hike, zodiac ride, snorkeling or kayaking and of course time out to relax on the beach. Throughout these activities, your guide will bring out the best of the Islands, sharing knowledge and fun facts about the Islands natural history.

FINE DINING AND CUISINE
Each meal on board is a treat for the taste buds as the chef prepares the finest international and local dishes using fresh ingredients of the highest quality. All meals include the choice of meat, poultry or seafood. Dietary choices and needs are gladly accommodated. Salads are freshly tossed and fresh fruit is always available. You will also find a selection of the best wines from around the world to compliment your meals, as well as a wide selection of non-alcoholic beverages.

KNOWLEDGEABLE GUIDES
All of the guides aboard the Archipel I are certified by the Galapagos National Park and Knowledgeable guides have gone through intensive training programs. They have years of experience and a strong passion for sharing their knowledge of the wildlife, biology, geology and natural history of the islands. You will find that your guide is obsessed with the conservation of the Islands and is very strict when it comes to following and enforcing Galapagos park guidelines and rules.

Galapagos Conservation
The Archipel I is an Eco Catamaran that introduces a new level of environmentally friendly operation to the Islands. The boat counts on 15 solar panels which power all of the electrical needs of the boat and has gone through a strict environmental survey.
