As the first carbon-neutral ship in the polar region, Ocean Diamond offers a unique combination of adventure, fine dining, and eco-friendly practices. Its innovative design accommodates up to 189 guests in style and comfort while also utilizing advanced fuel economy to offset all ship's carbon emissions. This ship is well-suited for polar exploration because of its ice-resistant hull and two stabilizers.

Ocean Diamond is one of the most comfortable ships in Antarctica. Large communal areas, a club lounge, and a restaurant complete the nicely constructed 101 staterooms and suites. Dining

Breakfast, lunch, and supper are all provided in the ship's one dining area. The ship's hours of operation will be shown on board, as they are subject to vary dependent on the activities that are scheduled for your cruise each day. The dress code is casual.

Those who do not consume meat can choose from various vegetables, pasta, cereals, and fruits. Most unusual dietary demands can be accommodated by Quark Expeditions as long as the necessary documents are filled out when you book your cruise. Unfortunately, no kosher food can be cooked at this time.

Onboard Amenities

Numerous social areas make Ocean Diamond an excellent choice for visiting Antarctica.

Polar-Library
The Ocean Diamond has the world's most extensive floating library of polar books and DVDs! It comprises literature in many languages on animals, history, marine biology, ecology, and geology.

Program for Massage and Wellness
While in Antarctica, a yoga instructor teaches every day on the ship's deck. A masseuse is offered for massage. The wellness plan includes aromatherapy and protein shakes.

Expert on Board
All voyages include an "Expert on Board," a professional scientist, historian, or researcher from renowned institutions and polar research programs. Experts will share their knowledge and skills with guests and invite travelers to participate in their projects. They will also be available to socialize with guests during meals and evenings.

Wireless Headsets
Clients may borrow headsets from the activity desk. Staff uses these to transmit live commentary throughout particular times of the day, like between landing spots. Wearing headphones allows travelers to follow the discourse freely across the ship and decks.

Offshore Activities
Ocean Diamond's Antarctica trips include Zodiac cruise, hiking, and snowshoeing, with optional kayaking, cross-country skiing, and mountaineering.
