Day 1 Embark in Bridgetown, Barbados

An infectiously happy island, with beautiful beaches, balmy weather, and a delightful British flair. As a result of its successful sugar economy in the 17th- to 19th-centuries, you’ll find large manor estates full of fine Barbados mahogany and antiques, along with gaily painted wooden frame houses– the essence of the festive Caribbean. Rum rules in Barbados, and, over the centuries, cane plantations have divided the Bajan landscape into a pretty patchwork of fields, coconut and royal palms, breadfruit, oleander, and citrus trees.

Day 2 At Sea

Day 3 St Georges, Grenada

A lively blend of French and English cultures, St. George's has steep hills to climb, spectacular views to photograph and a rum distillery to tour.

Day 4 Isla Margarita, Venezuela

Margarita is blessed with an average of over 320 days a year of sun, beautiful tropical beaches lined with palm trees like Playa el Agua or Playa Parguito and a temperature that is never too hot or too cold.

Day 5 Islas Los Roques, Venezuela

The archipelago of Los Roques is probably the best known of Venezuela’s Caribbean islands. Situated 170km north of Caracas, it is an atoll of reef-islands, tidal islets and reefs surrounding the Laguna Central, and is one of Venezuela’s most beautiful sights. A massive variety of marine life exists in and around the reef habitats, and for this, the area was declared a national park in 1972.

Day 6 Isla Larga, Venezuela

Day 7 Willemstad, Curacao

The people of the Netherlands established a trading settlement at a fine natural harbour on the Caribbean island of Curaçao in 1634. The town developed continuously over the following centuries. The modern town consists of several distinct historic districts whose architecture reflects not only European urban-planning concepts but also styles from the Netherlands and from the Spanish and Portuguese colonial towns with which Willemstad engaged in trade.

Days 8-9 At Sea

Day 10 San Blas Islands, Panama

The Comarca de San Blás includes not only the Archipiélago de San Blás with its 378 islands but also a strip of Caribbean coastline from the Colon Province almost to the Colombian border. The Kuna Indians have governed this autonomous province since the 1920s. They maintain their own economic system, language, customs and culture with their distinctive dress, music, dance and legends. There is a feeling of being in another world - straight out of the pages of National Geographic. The men still fish from canoes and climb for coconuts as they have done for centuries. Stunning golden sands and blue-green waters are edged by the coconut palms, the idyllic islands of your dreams.

Day 11 Panama Canal

Renowned as the Eighth Wonder of the World, marvel as your ship is raised, then lowered, 85 feet to sail gracefully through three massive locks in the Canal.

Day 12 At Sea

Day 13 Isla De Coiba, Panama

Coiba is the largest island in Central America, off the pacific coast of the Panamanian province of Veraguas. The waters adjacent to the island are teaming with marine life. It is surrounded by one of the largest coral reefs in the pacific coasts of the americas; it is the beginning of the underwater Cordilera mountain chain that also includes Coco's and the Galapagos. This makes for a unique dive experience that you shouldn't miss.

Day 14 At Sea

Day 15 Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica

An industrial port complex for both cruise ships and cargo vessels, Puerto Caldera belongs to the Esparza Puntarenas Province. There are no passenger amenities in Puerto Caldera except for a small, air-conditioned terminal with restrooms, information desk, public phones and a small selection of craft vendors. There is also an International Calling Center which accepts major calling cards.

The unspoiled natural beauty of the region is one of Puerto Caldera's main attractions. Its rain forest, which start just inside the coastline and continue up into the mountain ranges, contain rivers, waterfalls, parks and wildlife preserves.
