Highlights of My trip to Costa Rica

What a trip! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves - no need for descriptions. Can't wait to go back to see some of the other islands.

My son and I had planned a trip to Yellowstone, but decided to take a trip unlike any other we had experienced. Our trip to Ecuador, from Cotopaxi to the Sacha Lodge, was the right choice!

What an awesome multisport adventure. Alfredo's team worked with some amazing guides that were very nice & knowledgeable. Everything went perfectly hiking,biking and snorkeling with sharks !! Wow amazing Wildlife everywhere an ex zoo keepers dream.

This journal is about my trip to Ecuador, starting with my volunteer work with Engineers Without Borders, my Yachana Jungle lodge stay, and my stay on the coast.

We took a fabulous vacation to Peru and spent time at Lake Titicaca, Cusco, Trekked in the Andes, went to Machu Picchu, and the Amazon Rain-forest. What an incredible time!

I don't know where to begin.The trip was an adventure I will never forget.Taking in all the sites and new experiences while biking, hiking, camping and whitewater rafting will leave a lasting impression in my memory.

Adventures in Peru -- birthday cake on the Inca Trail, visiting children at the Mantay Shelter, celebrations in the Cusco plaza, and making Dead Woman's Pass at 3 month's pregnant? I don't think we'll ever be able to top this trip.

Visited: Cusco, Sacred Valley, Ollantaytambo, Inca Trail, Machupicchu, Lima.

Where do we begin to tell about our wonderful adventure in Costa Rica? It was a once in a lifetime experience. How many people get to see a leatherback turtle baby scoot his way into the ocean, or awaken to howler monkeys?

Tanner picked a trip to Ecuador and even though his older brother and dad did not want to go we had an amazing experience that no one will ever forget and we had it together!

Another day in Pahrahdyze . . . Galapagos Islands

The extraordinary experience of our journey Macchu Picchu on the day of the winter solstice via Lima and Cusco.

15 friends and I traveled to the Galapagos Islands in June 2008. We had a wonderful time snorkeling and enjoying the islands and wildlife. The weather was excellent except for one day of rain.

As we walked down the aisle of the Continental jet, we could feel it getting hotter and humid, and it really hit us when we walked down the stairs to the tarmac at the Belize International Airport. We were really looking forward to this tropical weather.

I hiked part of the trek on our Ecuador Adventure trip and visited the village of Oyacachi too.

My tour de Ecuador took me from Guayaquil & the coast to the incredible Galapagos Islands and finally to Quito & the highlands. I was overwhelmed by the natural diversity of this small country, not to mention the warmth of the Ecuadorian people.

My husband, Mike, and I excitedly left the US last night for our much anticipated trip to Chile. We decided to fly Lan Chile. Both of us were very impressed with the services we received.

Mary, Mom and two-year-old Matthew, enjoy a unique small ship expedition of Central America's Panama and Costa Rica.

Sarapiqui, Tortuguero, Turtle Beach Lodge, Bocas Del Toro, San Blas and more! What an adventure of Panama and Costa Rica...

Kurt and I spent a wonderful 2-weeks enjoying the adventures of Costa Rica and Panama. And getting married at Tranquilo Bay? Well -- that was just the icing on the cake.

Even though our visit to Guatemala was short, it equated to a lifetime of memories that Jens and I will never forget.

I trekked on the Inca Trail, explored the cobbled streets of Cusco, and visited the islands of Lake Titicaca during my Peru adventure . . . and completely fell in love with the landscape, the people, and the culture.

Before I ventured to Antarctica, I began my travels enjoying the buzz of Buenos Aires, followed by a to canoe excursion through the Beagle Channel and a hike on Gabel Island...

I couldn't wait to get to Costa Rica again. It has been six years since I spent a month there for school, and I was eager to see if I felt the same love for the country that I had that first time.

This was my second time in Lima. The arrival was much more comfortable than my arrival a few years ago -- an Adventure Life representative met us at the airport, whisked the luggage out of our hands, and maneuvered us calmly through the throngs.

Cuenca is a beautiful city and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. With tranquil rivers, beautiful architecture, and surrounded by mountains in a cool and comfortable climate, we instantly adored this place.

I can hardly think of a better location, a more laid-back atmosphere, a more inviting people or region than Belize. From the moment Aaron and I arrived in the tiny airport of Belize City, I was immediately at ease.

I finally arrived in Lima, Peru, by 11:30 pm. I was doing a slightly modified version of our Incas and Rainforest trip, and was extremely excited to finally arrive in the country and begin my Peru travel.

I woke at 4 am for our early flight to Lima via Salt Lake and Atlanta. We didn't know it yet, but this would be the start of many pre-dawn departures so it was good to get prepared from the start.

I've dreamed of visiting Costa Rica for several years now, and that dream was finally realized when I made it there on an Adventure Life Journey. The trip from Missoula, Montana to San Jose, Costa Rica is a long one...
