Kathmandu, is a must-experience city filled with entangled alleyways, a cacophony of car horns, pilgrims chanting, all surroundeded by the majestic Himalayas. Bhutan celebrates the Paro Festival with dance, music and conviviality. Thailand is terrific.

Winging out of Reno on our way to Kathmandu, I snap a photo of beautiful Lake Tahoe. This is a good way to start th trip; we leave this picturesque scene anticipating the wonders of what lies ahead in Nepal and Bhutan.
