It was exciting to get on board and get ... Full Journal »

Every segment of our trip was top-notch. The weather was great, along with the food, the tours, the lodging, the transportation and the people. We made a stop at Mantay in Cusco to deliver peace pals and medical supplies. We were very impressed to learn that Adventure Life has a relationship with the shelter. Thanks to Milagros in Lima, we learned about the Mantay Shelter in Cusco. My friends …

During the summer of 2011, we began planning for our trip to Peru. The Adventure Life travel agency of Missoula, Montana, specializing in Central and South American travels, was selected as we endorsed their philosophy of utilizing local lodging, transportation and guides, maintaining small groups, and being ecologically responsible. Our tour guide for the first 10 days from Lima to Puno was …

Our long-anticipated exploration of pre-European Andean culture was more informative and enjoyable than ever we could have imagined. Two very knowledgeable and agreeable guides made it so. Breathtaking scenery was the norm. The highlight and great surprise of the trip was the Colca Canyon. The sheer effort involved in cultivating such seemingly inhospitable land is awe inspiring.

Months and months ago, a couple from Chicago decided to take a vacation. That guy wanted to take this girl on a special, unforgettable trip to celebrate a landmark occasion: her 30th birthday. Seeing this girl was never one to make a big deal over the day of her birth, it was quite a surprise when she agreed. With very little muss and fuss, the Chicagoans pinpointed Peru as their destination of …

Our idea for this trip started with seeing Machu Picchu, but soon, trekking the Inca Trail became integrally important to the purpose of the trip. Dave & I are in our late 50’s. We hike, just not real fast. We were extremely pleased at how personalized the entire trip was, especially the trek. We\'re also not much group tour people, but were expecting crowds at such a great attraction. How …

It was a great Ecuadorian rainforest kayaking adventure trip! And we learned: that a large black garbage bag makes a great raincoat in a pinch. That you keep your toes away from streaming ants.To bring extra clothing in small dry bags so that you can go to dinner in something other than your pajamas. . .That you are ALONE when you are alone in the rainforest. And you thought you were happy on a …
