HOME » Bolivia Travel » El Hostal De Su Merced This is our primary hotel choice in this location, though availability is not guaranteed. If a given hotel is not available for your tour date, we will reserve you a room at a hotel of similar appeal and quality in the same area. Hostal De Su Merced
The Hostal De Su Merced, built in the 18th century, is situated in the center of the colonial city of Sucre. It is known for its beautiful antique furniture, individually decorated rooms, and sunny terraces. From the highest terreces, guests may enjoy one of the best panoramic views of the whitewashed city of Sucre, the green mountains behind it, and the blue skies. The hotel combines the grand style of the colonial past with the convenience and comfort of the modern world. Each room has a telephone, cable TV, and a private bathroom with hot water. The hotel also offers fax and Internet access, a meeting room for 16 people, and tourist information. A buffet breakfast is served each morning; lunch and dinner are prepared on request. Laundry and ironing services are also provided on request. Hotel staff is fluent in Spanish, English, French, Italian, and some German. In 1997, the Hostal De Su Merced hosted the Meeting of Andine Presidents, and had guests such as the President of Bolivia, the Ambassador of Paraguay, and other government Ministers and diplomats.
