Ecuadorian Rainforest Kayaking Adventure Trip |
My Photos : annette It was a great Ecuadorian rainforest kayaking adventure trip! And we learned: that a large black garbage bag makes a great raincoat in a pinch. That you keep your toes away from streaming ants.To bring extra clothing in small dry bags so that you can go to dinner in something other than your pajamas. . .That you are ALONE when you are alone in the rainforest. And you thought you were happy on a cruise! Read my journal : Ecuadorian Rainforest Kayaking Adventure

Craig and Steph Explore the Cultures of Ecuador |
My Photos : Stephanie & Craig Smith We experience the varied local cultures of Ecuador, starting with a 5 night homestay with a family of Kichwa farmers in the highlands of Morochos. Then we spend three nights camping with the jungle-dwelling Kichwa Waira Churi family. During a three day paddle down the Shiripuno River, we learn about the Huaorani culture of the Amazon basin. We explore the jungle for two days at the Shiripuno Lodge with our Huaorani guide before heading back to Quito and continuing home. Read my journal : Craig and Steph Explore the Cultures of Ecuador

Galapagos Cruise on the Angelito |
My Photos : Judy Green Its exciting, to say the least, to fly out of Quito, Ecuador, since the city sits in a bowl high in the Andes, surrounded by mountain peaks, with the airport nestled right next to downtown. Soon we were up and over, on our way to a short stop in Guayaquil, and then on to Baltra, our first island in the Galapagos. Read my journal : Galapagos Cruise on the Angelito

Quito & Cotopaxi Trip |
My Photos : Judy Green Our first sight of Quito as we dropped through the clouds was of a bowl filled to the brim with lights. Quito sits high in the Andes, surrounded by mountain peaks, and the city runs right up the mountainsides. Read my journal : Quito & Cotopaxi Trip
