Voyage for two on the Antarctic Dream

My Photos : Michael Gilbert
A voyage for two heading for the White Continent aboard the Antarctic Dream - filled with birds, marine wildlife, interesting lectures, new friendships and many memorable moments. This was early in the summer season so all was pristine. The time spent in the Antarctic seems like a dream.

Our family came to kayak in Antarctica. So we had an additional agenda to fulfill. Kayaking around the icebergs of this great continent. So many moments that seemed so surreal.

A great travel isn\'t what one sees or does, but how it embeds itself into your soul, long after the last shot has been taken. The Antarctic is the ultimate visceral experience, exceeding and earning every cliche and superlative thrown its way.

Where to begin?Beautiful, majestic, surreal, dreamlike, words cannot even begin to describe this unspoiled continent. Antarctica is truly \"out of this world\". Where else will wildlife treat humans as a curiosity instead of a threat? Penguins walk up to you

At 65 degrees south latitude, we reached our furthest point south and landed on the actual continent of Antarctica. Now we were actually on the continental land mass.
