Antarctica Tours - Adventure Life Testimonials and Reviews

Classic W Trek

Siew Ng (Pure Patagonia and Antarctica Cruise, Oct 2015)

I highly recommend Adventure Life! Count me as a repeat customer.

Iguazu Falls: Argentina

Susan Witcraft (Antarctica, Fishing in Patagonia, and Iguazu Falls, Jan 2015)

We were thrilled with the ease with which all of the arrangements worked, Jodi's willingness to deal with oodles of last minute requests and the quality and appropriateness of the hotels selected by Adventure Life.

Atmosphere: Ultimate Fly-Fishing

National Geographic Explorer: Antarctica, Falklands, & South Georgia

Liz Tidwell (Antarctica, Feb 2015)

Everything was excellent. I especially appreciated the support of Jodi and the person manning the emergency number at midnight on Feb. 6. She assured my airline snafu would be cleared up by the time I woke up, and it was.

MV Plancius: Antarctic Peninsula - Whale Watching Voyage

Richard Shepherd (Antarctica, Nov 2014)

Everything was well planned and taken care of! Best service I have had in all my trips. The trip to Antarctica was also by far the most special experience I have had in my life. I acknowledge that it took 24 years of "somedays" before I got to "today", so I was biased towards the trip! Would I do it again is probably the best reflection of my experience - I would be there tomorrow again if I could!

MV Plancius: Antarctic Peninsula

Jeff Pender (Antarctic Peninsula on the MV Plancius, Feb 2016)

Enjoyed our trip on the MV Plancius very much. Antarctica is truly unbelievable and I would recommend it to anyone. This is a rather rustic and small ship, so the seas can be very rough across the Drake Passage, but it is well worth it to be on a small ship with more time ashore!

Patagonia Wildlife Safari

Ailene Markham (Argentina + Patagonia + Antarctica Peninsula on the Akademik Loffe, Feb 2016)

Jessica and Veronika were always responsive and supportive with our trip plans. Even in the middle of the trip, we e-mailed with a problem and they called us at the hotel in Ushuaia to help us straighten things out. I would never consider taking a complicated trip like this without having support and would highly recommend Adventure-Life.

Akademik Ioffe: Antarctic Peninsula Adventure

Ocean Nova Air Cruises: Classic Antarctica Air Cruise

Wyatt Harrington (Classic Antarctica Air Cruise on Ocean Nova Air Cruises, Feb 2016)

Excellent staff for a difficult task. Our trekking guide Nico was great. Thanks to all the staff that helped us have an amazing adventure and vacation.

Ocean Nova Air Cruises: Antarctic Small Ship Expedition

Lee Hoffman (Antarctic Small Ship Expedition on Ocean Nova Air Cruises, Mar 2016)

South Shetlands/Antarctica was an out-of-this-world experience and both the ship and the excursion staff were excellent. It's a lot of time on a ship to get there and back, but well worth it.

Marivi Magan (Patagonia and Antarctica Cruise, Nov 2015)

Excellent time as a family with teenagers--entertaining and educational.

Freya Santos (Antarctica Cruise on the Ocean Nova, Nov 2015)

The best trip I've had so far. Not only is it because of the dramatic nature landscape and wildlife, but the people too (passengers and crew).

Siew Ng (Pure Patagonia and Antarctica Cruise, Oct 2015)

I highly recommend Adventure Life! Count me as a repeat customer.

The "Ocean Nova" did a very good job! We enjoyed the trip immensely and think both Mindy and, particularly, Jodi were very helpful and easy to deal with.

Sea Spirit: Antarctic Explorer - The Classic Adventure

Hugh Deery (Antarctica, Nov 2014)

As I told my Facebook friends, I said WOW, can you believe this about 1000 times on this trip. This has set the bar way up there and we've actually done a lot of travel from Ecuador and Galapogos and Costa Rica, to London, Norway and Italy in the past year.

Panorama: Adriatic Odyssey (Dubrovnik)

Nikki Green (Italy, Greece and Croatia!, Jun 2016)

Franny Friesz of Adventure Life and Lucas Studer of Exito were tremendously helpful. Franny responded immediately to all my inquiries with professionalism and with a welcome sense of humor. Lucas provided with important perspective by offering the wisest options for flight connections. The drivers Adventure Life secured for me in Buenos Aires and Ushuaia provided perfect service. In both cities the drivers greeted with a clear sign and with good cheer. They drove safely, the cars were comfortable, and the drivers offered pleasant and interesting information about their cities. My hotel in Ushuaia, Hotel de los Andes, was comfortable and conveniently located. And, though I had informed Franny and Lucas that I required gluten free food on the airplanes and on the ship, I was both surprised and impressed to find that the hotel was ready with gluten free food for me, too. In addition, I was impressed that Adventure Life’s local agent, Jose Galotti of Kallpa Tour, called me at my hotel to check on me, and to make sure I knew where and when to board the ship. Finally, I was also reassured by Adventure Life’s emails that arrived the day before I departed. I felt as if Franny were right there with me seeing me off. Adventure Life seems to appreciate and anticipate the stresses that a traveler can feel when planning a trip to Antarctica, and I am grateful for ... Read All

Ocean Diamond: Antarctic Explorer: Discovering the 7th Continent

Lynsey Sloan (Antarctic Explorer: Discovering the 7th Continent on the Ocean Diamond, Dec 2015)

Mary was great with booking. Jessica was wonderful with all our pre-departure needs and was incredibly responsive. The ship was beautiful. It was a wonderful trip!

Akademik Sergey Vavilov: Christmas in Antarctica

KC Chan (Christmas in Antarctica on the Akademik Sergey Vavilov, Dec 2015)

We are so glad that we chose Adventure Life. The service is top-notch. Everything is well taken care of and we just have to print the documents and go. Franny even gave us timely updates on possible airport strike.

Sea Adventurer: Antarctic Explorer: Discovering the 7th Continent

Valetta Hutcheson (Antarctica, Nov 2014)

The exhibition team was wonderful they took care to only land at places that would be safe and were so informative (they really knew the material) and even added extra landings for us that were not planned. It was an amazing adventure and the staff on the ship went above and beyond to find of all things. Their warmth and friendliness meant the world to me. I also found the trips to land were planned out so very well. I especially liked the evening ones because it gave me a chance to work off the excellent food they provided for us. We were really amazed at the cuisine and how they could have so much variety for so many days.

Sea Explorer: Antarctic Peninsula

Brian Bianco (Antarctica, Feb 2015)

The trip was fabulous. We travel about 40% of the year and this was our best trip ever. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

Manuel Lois (Antarctica!, Jan 2015)

What an amazing adventure it was. Not only got to live Antarctica but got to learn its life. We had such knowledgeable crew teaching us what we were seeing and living

Judy Murden (Antarctica, Oct 2014)

We are delighted that we took Kassies's recommendation to extend our trip to the Falkland Islands and South Georgia. The trip exceeded our high expectations in terms of the accommodations, the expedition staff, the scenery and the wildlife. We also enjoyed our fellow passengers, all of whom were interesting to talk to and enjoyable travel companions. The staff and guides were very professional and knowledgeable and communicated very well as we learned why traveling in Antarctica is called "expedition travel". Our ship was the MV Sea Explorer, which was well-appointed, the room surprisingly spacious, and the staff professional and accommodating. The food was very, very good and varied, particularly when you consider that we were on board for three weeks.

Sea Explorer: Falklands, South Georgia, & Antarctica via Puerto Madryn

David Gale (Falklands, South Georgia, & Antarctica on the Sea Explorer, Jan 2016)

Extremely well-planned and executed voyage. Amazing guides. Kayaking among the icebergs. Serendipitous weather in the Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica. Except for some rock and rolling in a few tempestuous seas, the expedition was everything we could imagine and more.

Sea Explorer: Falklands, South Georgia & Antarctic via Ushuaia

Wanda Nelsen (Antarctica, Falkland Islands and South Georgia, Oct 2014)

A fabulous experience! I strongly encourage anyone planning a trip to a Antarctica to be certain to include the Falklands and especially South Georgia Island in their itinerary.

Sea Spirit (PO): Antarctica, Falkland Islands, & South Georgia: Ushuaia Roundtrip

Helena Kageyama (Antarctica and Falklands Cruise on the Sea Spirit, Oct 2015)

Excellent trip to Antarctica with Sea Spirit ship and Poseidon's expedition team. They went beyond to give us an once life time experience!

MV Plancius: Antarctic Peninsula with South Shetlands

Jan Ma (Antarctic Peninsula with South Shetlands on the MV Plancius, Dec 2015)

The food was absolutely incredible for an expedition trip. Really appreciate the selection, as well as fresh fruits everyday.

Ocean Endeavour (QU): Antarctic Explorer: Discovering the 7th Continent

Walter Pavlik (Antarctic Explorer: Discovering the 7th Continent on the Ocean Endeavour, Feb 2016)

I really enjoyed the whole experience. It is my 7th continent and was well worth the long flight.

Huimin Shen (Antarctic Explorer: Discovering the 7th Continent on the Ocean Endeavor, Jan 2016)

It was well organized and the services are wonderful!

Ocean Endeavour (QU): Antarctic Explorer: Discovering the 7th Continent

Shariann Lewitt (Antarctic Explorer: Discovering the 7th Continent on the Ocean Endeavour (QU), Jan 2016)

I would recommend Ocean Endeavour to anyone interested in travel to a Polar region. We loved the ship. Our quarters were extremely comfortable and the ship as a whole was elegant and had many different and pleasant spaces. We thoroughly enjoyed the cuisine aboard, and the service by the hotel staff was fabulous, but the best part was the Expedition Team. I loved the lectures; no one dumbed down the science (and I teach at MIT, so my standards for high-level science are pretty exacting). The experts were constantly available, always ready to answer questions and offer insights into the Antarctic environment, and their love for this region just radiated. Of course, all the arrangements made by Adventure Life were flawless--but this is not our first Adventure Life trip and it won't be our last! So we're kind of spoiled and expect that. :-)
