MV Via Australis

Kevin Phalen (Patagonia cruise aboard the Via Australis + Patagonia Wildlife Safari, Dec 2012)
Great trip....probably the best we have had. Even beat out Peru and the Galapagos. Would definitely recommend it to others (and have already) The folks on the boat were wonderful. Very knowledgeable and helpful. The Eco Camp they too were great. The made all of us very comfortable and would do anything that we would ask.

Kathleen Jackson (Patagonia cruise aboard the Via Australis, Mar 2012)
The Via Australis was just the right sized ship for travelling to the end of the world. The ship's cabin was a nice size, clean and comfortable. The guides on the Via Australis were very informed and made the excursions quite interesting. The zodiac trips were just great...so glad it wasn't a ship we had to stay on all the time.

MV Stella Australis

Gwendolyn Hale (Patagonia cruise aboard the Stella Australis + Iguazu Falls Extension, Dec 2012)

The Iguazu Jungle Lodge was awesome. The staff/guides on the ship where EXCELLENT. They truly cared if you where having a great time.

Daniel Frank (Patagonia Cruise aboard the Stella Australis + Patagonia Wildlife Safari + End of the World, Nov 2012)
Marissa was very patient, understanding and answered all questions from novice adventure travelers. She followed up as promised after we put ourselves on waiting list for itinerary we wanted, which eventually became available. Sullivan too was very good. Answered our additional questions, took care of all arrangements and extras needed, like transfers and an added night in Buenos Aires. The trip was 5 star. Got along well with all guides, all pick ups and transfers were on time. 5-Star. Planning to go back soon to do the W!

Lakes Crossing

Laurie Catron (Awesome Argentina + El Calafate/Perito Moreno Glacier + End of the World + Lakes Crossing + Chilean Lake District + Lake District Sea Kayaking + Pumalin Park by Sea Kayak, Feb 2011)
The tour overall exceeded my expectations, and they were pretty high to start with. Considering the complexity of this month long tour, and all the components, it was nearly flawless. The support staff throughout worked very hard on our behalf, and did everything possible to make the trip memorable. It was much more than I expected. I truly loved this trip, and I have traveled extensively, great job.

Torres del Paine Extension

Erin Boyce (Torres del Paine + Custom Argentina & Chile, Jan 2013)
I couldn't imagine a more seamless trip from start to finish. We were taken care of every step of the way. Adventure Life took all of the work out of trip planning and allowed us to just take in every minute of the experience.

Kassandra was very helpful and timely and gave us great recommendations on the tours. The food at the restaurants that our guide took us to in Brazil was amazing. The food at the Tango show and the coyboy tour was also good. Our culinary tour with Francisco was fantastic!

Pure Patagonia - Torres del Paine Trek

Chad Fitz (Pure Patagonia, Oct 2012)
This tour was absolutely amazing! The views and hikes were absolutely awesome. I would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys hiking and a challenging trek!

Judith Harris (Atacama Desert + Pure Patagonia, Jan 2012)
It was a very good trip. Torre Del Paine is amazingly beautiful and worth all of the hassle it was to get there. All of the arrangements went very smoothly. Gabo, opur guide, was fun, knowledgeable and thoughtful. He did a good job of planning an alternative routs for 2 days when the fire kept us from going on the original route.

Rebecca Klein (Awesome Argentina + Pure Patagonia, Mar 2011)
Best Trip I have ever taken. The staff and guides and a good pairing of people in the group made the trip exciting and memorable and wonderful The Guides were a big part of making my trip the most amazing trip. their energy and enthusiasm was addictive and inspiring. I will definitely come back to Patagonia and will use Adventure Life for other trips around the world again.

End of the World

Brian Penrose (End of the World, Jan 2013)
About as close to perfect as reality can get. The Adventure-Life people were first rate, as were the local operators with whom they liaise. The hotels, hostels, transfers, excursions, and the cruise were all great. And Patagonia was indescribable.

We had so many nervous and inexperience-based questions for our trip planner; I can't count the number of e-mails I sent her about this detail or that. She answered promptly, enthusiastically, and correctly. She was also great about letting us know about important changes: e.g., the Argentinian government's shifting policy on how Canadians must pay the reciprocity fee that they're required to pay. I can't thank her enough for everything.

Guides were brilliant. Knowledgeable, pleasant, and *extremely* professional. While all were great, the staff on board the Stella Australis and at the Eco-camp should be singled out as especially excellent.

Patagonia Panorama

Susan Dubuisson (Argentina Glacier Adventure + Patagonia Panorama + Pure Patagonia, Jan 2011)
Gabrielle in Argentina and Roberto and Soazic in Chile were the greatest. We learned a lot from them.

we couldn't believe how fine the weather was the whole time. The logistics of the trip worked perfectly; the lodgings were just right. We were surprised at all the vegetarian options made available for us. We had a fabulous time.

Gary Exelbert (Argentina Glacier Adventure + Patagonia Panorama + Pure Patagonia, Dec 2010)
I would highly recommend Adventure Life to anyone considering a journey to South America. I'm happy that I chose your travel company for planning and booking my adventure to Patagonia. Information was very detailed and fairly accurate. Laura Cahill did an excellent job helping me set up and organize my trip.

Loved the local guides, both at Glaciares and Torres del Paine. Transfer reps were also very friendly.

El Pilar was a nice surprise as I didn't know what I was in store for. That is, not staying in the town the first night and instead staying in that quaint/lovely inn. The Sierra Nevada in El Calafate was excellent. Service there was great. Loved the free wi-fi which came in handy as I had my iphone with me. And they let me keep my bag there for the day when I returned a week later. So friendly and accommodating. And then there's Eco-camp, which exceeded my expectations in so many ways.

Easter Island

Arlene Ursick (Easter Island, Jan 2013)
I loved Easter Island. The People were friendly, the island was beautiful and the history was amazing. Nic was a wonderful guide. His Mother is the Minister of Archology on Easter Island. Yes, he did know his stuff. The restaurants were pretty expensive. Meals were about $25.00 plus drinks.

Eric Wolters (Easter Island, Nov 2012)
The Easter Island tour was one of the most unforgettable trips of our lives! The itinerary was perfect. The full- and half-day excursions were exciting, and we never felt like we needed to rush to squeeze everything in. There was plenty of time to take in everything the island has to offer, and plenty of free time to relax and enjoy our vacation. The extra day that we built in added the right amount of breathing room. We used it to simply relax, take in the town and the culture, and do a little shopping. We didn't get to see and do everything, but we definitely don't feel like we missed anything. This trip was everything that we were hoping it would be, and so much more!

Matt Dickendesher (Easter Island, Jul 2012)
Local guide was OUTSTANDING!!! Other staff (drivers, etc) were GREAT!! Hotel in Lima not the greatest, but was good enough for a 1 night stay. Small room, hotel needs an upgrade. Accommodations on Easter Island were great. I could keep trying to describe my 5 days on Easter Island, but all I would do is keep coming back to the word AMAZING!!

Patagonia Wildlife Safari

Rajesh Mashruwala (Custom Argentina + Patagonia Wildlife Safari, Jan 2013)
Suggested itinerary was very good. Each location was different but good. Mary suggested the itineracy that was very good -- varied in activities and types of accommodation. El Pilar was rated the best because of its location and very friendly and caring staff. Eco-dome were comfortable and had professional staff.

Atacama Desert

Terry Hemans (Atacama Desert, Sep 2012)
Jenny was extremely helpful in organizing my trip to the Atacama Desert. I booked the trip with less than a week to go and Jenny was able to sort out everything in less than a day. Excellent service!

Tarpley Long (Atacama Desert, Feb 2012)
I have traveled the world, except for South America. I found you online and took a risk. This is the best trip I have had in over 30 years of international travel. the final good-bye toast with wine and cheese and wineglasses and a white tablecloth in the Atacama Desert was more than excellent. Perfect. Thank you for this!

Romelle Kemp (Atacama Desert + Chilean Lake District + Easter Island, Mar 2011)
Our trip planner Sullivan was fantastic! At the last minute, our Easter Island flight was postponed, she worked very hard to arrange a trip to Valparaiso to fill in for the extra time -- it worked out perfectly. Our trip was excellent!! This was our 5th Adventure Life trip -- we're running out of places to go with you!

Futaleufu Wild Whitewater

Derek Cutting (Futaleufu Wild Whitewater, Jan 2010)
Everyone on the Adventure Life team were awesome to work with. This was my first adventure trip and I really didn't know what to expect. Adventure Life is very organized and took care of any of my concerns as soon as they could. My room in Bariloche was top notch, extremely comfortable and welcoming. My accommodations at the Bio Bio base camp were beyond luxurious camping ... I had a blast! There should be a button for better than excellent because the team at Bio Bio was incredible. Great people, never any detail left out. If I was missing some things from my packing list (which I was) they had it covered, the food and drink never stopped coming, the amenities were always clean and stocked. Cookie, the chef and his crew, were magnificent; we had dishes that I still don't know how they prepared them out in the middle of the Andes mountains! Eduardo, our driver was always waiting for us to take us to our next adventure. I had a blast and met some amazing friends who I plan on keeping in touch with. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE weather you're a beginner like myself or a 15+ year adventure vet, like most of the other tourists who were with me ... This adventure and the friends I made will NEVER be forgotten! Once again, because I can't say it enough .... THANK YOU, and MAHALO!

Chilean Lake District

Carolina Tsaw (Chilean Lake District, Sep 2012)
The Lake district offers such amazing views, vistas, natural beauty, that the guides really just have to pick the angles from which we get a glimpse and they can't go wrong. The only thing they had no control over was the weather. We were so so lucky to have 3 bright sunny days to enjoy the scenery!!!

Pumalin Park by Sea Kayak

Diane Lischio (Awesome Argentina + Pumalin Park by Sea Kayak + Pure Patagonia, Feb 2011)
We loved the experience in Chiloe. Cyril, our guide was great --- he truly loved the island and was incredibly knowledgeable. The high point was visiting his parents' home (fascinating people!!) and tasting his Dad's pisco sours(our first and by far, the best of the trip). We all enjoyed his choices of local restaurants--best seafood of the trip. The kayaking part of our trip was a "harder" adventure than we anticipated, even having done several kayaking trips in the past. However it turned out to be one, if not THE, favorite part of the trip and the source of the most stories. Andres, our guide from Miralejos, definitely MADE the trip. Great skills as a guide: knowledgeable, personable(wonderful story teller) & really adaptable. I can't say enough good things about him!

Valparaiso had a good choice of vineyards for the wine tastings---especially Emiliana. We've toured many wineries in the past but this one was truly unique & excellent wines!! We'll be looking for them in the US.

The W Circuit was a great experience. We enjoyed the Eco Camp & the others in our group. The food was excellent as was the food in the refugios (given the locations). I enjoyed all the hiking, even in the rain. It was a great way to see the park and would recommend it to others. Enjoyed El Galpon in El Calafate --it seemed a bit "touristy" at times(especially the show) ... Read All
