The dive shop's owner is locally famous Patojo Paz,a life long resident of Ambergris and one of the islands premier dive instructors. Each of Patojo's five dive boats is named after one of his little girls - they're sure to become Ambergris's next generation of expert divers! Travelers can arrange dive and snorkel trips when booking our Ambergris extension or you can sign up each evening for one of their daily diving and snorkeling trips. Dive trips visit numerous dive sites outside the reef to view canyons, caverns, wrecks and a variety of marine life, and snorkeling can be done at Hol Chan, Shark/Ray Alley, Mexico Rocks and Coral Gardens. PADI Certification courses are also available.
Local Diving (tanks and weights included)Equipment that can be rented directly at the dive shop includes BCDs, regulators, wetsuits, snorkels, masks, fins, and underwater flashlights. Rates range from US$3-US$7 per piece. PADI Dive CertificationChoose from the complete Open Water Course, a Referral Course, Advanced Water Course, and a dozen specialty courses. Open Water Course (3-4 days) - US$350 Referral Course (2 Days) - US$225 Advanced Water Course (2 Days) - US$280 Specialty Dives - 1 day courses - US$85/course
