As a first choice for Buddhist dignitaries, worshipers, and business travelers, the hotel features tranquil accommodations, vegetarian meals in Rong Zhai Restaurant, a relaxing sauna in Zi Zai Spa, and traditional teas in Jian Cha Tea house.

Located in the Central Business District of Chengdu, the Buddha Zen Hotel is adjacent to the ancient Wenshuyuan Buddhist Temple and near Tianfu Square.

Buddha Zen Hotel combines the spirit and culture of Zen Buddhism with traditional Chinese design. The hotel’s 35 guestrooms and common areas feature ancient Buddhist scroll paintings (Tangkas), rare antiques, and even the oldest embroidery of the Qing Dynasty in Sichuan. Luxury Suites, Superior Suites, Deluxe Double Rooms, and Deluxe Twin Rooms are available.

* Zi Zai Spa – The Zi Zai Spa uses raw materials, natural treatment, and natural lighting to promote relaxation and harmonization with nature.

* Rong Zhai Vegetarian Restaurant – Rong Zhai Restaurant serves Chinese dishes made by senior chefs. Cooking methods utilize classic Buddhist techniques and recipes for improving Qi energy. Rong Zhai chefs use fresh vegetables to develop and prepare nutritious, low fat, and cholesterol-free meals. While savoring delicious dishes, guests can view beautiful landscapes and Chinese gardens through latticed wooden windows.

* Jian Cha Tea house – Buddha Zen’s tea house enables guests to enjoy the spirit of tea and conversation, appreciate antiques and curios, and buy souvenirs. According to Chinese Buddhism, tea and Zen are closely connected because they both pursue simplicity and purification, which are also the principles of daily life. The tea house is designed to embody these ideas through purification of the mind and cultivation of the spirit.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
