Day 1 Quito - Middle of the World - Pululahua Volcano
Drive north to visit "El mirador de Guápulo" (view point), from where we can admire its church and Quito's nearby valleys. We'll go south towards Quito's colonial center. From here we'll continue to el Panecillo - the small, rounded hill which dominates the old town. We continue to "La Mitad del Mundo" (The Middle of the world) about 22 km north of Quito. Finally we'll drive to the Pululahua Reserve where we can observe the volcanic crater of the extinct Pululahua (300 meters deep and 4 Km. across). This is a full day tour.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
