HOME » Panama Travel » Hotel Bahia This is our primary hotel choice in this location, though availability is not guaranteed. If a given hotel is not available for your tour date, we will reserve you a room at a hotel of similar appeal and quality in the same area.
Hotel BahiaHotel Bahia is located in a grand old building that will soon complete its 100th anniversary. Built in 1905, it still serves the public as one of the oldest hotels in the area. This building, that once housed the main offices of United Fruit Company, three consulates and the Tropical Radio & Telegraph station, has accommodated Hotel Bahia since 1968. Its recent complete and through renovation included upgrading the rooms with modern conveniences, yet maintaining the charm of yesteryear. In its lobby you will observe a large and aging safe, which was installed during the construction of the building in 1905. This safe, savaged from the original building that was destroyed by the 1904 fire, was used for safekeeping of cash to pay the small banana producers of the area. AccommodationsEighteen comfortable rooms are offered, with air conditioning, Cable TV and private bathrooms with hot shower. The friendly and relaxing atmosphere makes out guests feel at home.
You are invited to sit and relax while enjoying the view of main street and the bay from our large balcony on the upper floor. RestaurantBahia Hotel offers a restaurant with a capacity of fifty people, serving a more delicious combination of the Caribbean and Italian Mediterranean cuisines. You can select between two wide and cozzy balconies and an open terrace, to get an inviting pizza or fresh seafood prepared at the caribbean style or sided by some pasta "al dente" or being delighted by a fresh tropical fruits salad, everything at cool prices.
