Inspired perhaps by the bordellos of yesteryear, this cozy and alluring property might be the most enticing little inn in all of Mexico. The Copper Canyon Riverside Lodge is located just off the main square in Batopilas village at the bottom of Batopilas Canyon.

Accommodations and Amenities
The Copper Canyon Riverside Lodge boasts private gardens, hand painted murals and is filled with antiques. Fanciful Moorish style doorways and windows will make you feel as though you've entered another world. Relax in one of the several courtyards or shady patios. Interested in learning more about the silver mining history in Batopilas? There's a small library that holds the answers to most of your Batopilas history questions. Feel free to browse through the old books, antique records, and booklets from the silver mining days and relive the past.

Each of the 14 guest rooms have a private bath and antique beds with cozy amenities. Settle into a claw foot tub full of bubbles and listen to the past in a room of antiques and fine linens.

Your host, Martin, serves a continental breakfast every morning that includes a variety of fresh fruits, home-baked breads and coffee or tea. Experience luxury lodging in the town "that time forgot" with a stay at Copper Canyon Riverside Lodge.

The Riverside Lodge falls under the specialty hotel category and is a boutique-style hotel. The hotel is really a grand casa set back in time with all the history and nooks and crannies to explore. Once a privately owned home, it was converted to a hotel back in the early 90's and covers an entire block.

Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.
