Drive from EcoCamp in Torres del Paine to the Serrano Camp on the southwest shore where the Serrano River begins its winding exit out of Torres del Paine National Park. Here you receive a safety briefing and your equipment, then begin paddling down the Serrano River. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery for the first 4 hour stretch. Next you cross a small piece of land to avoid a waterfall, and continue downstream past mountains covered in Lenga forests. Disembark at your first campsite along the river near the mouth of the Tyndall River. Here pitch tents and enjoy dinner by the campfire.
After breakfast, pack up camp and continue on the kayaking journey. For this section you paddle downriver taking in magnificent views of Tyndall Glacier, one of the largest glaciers in the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. Take a break at Estancia Pekin Guerrero for lunch, then continue for a 3 hour paddle through fjords at the foot of the beautiful Mount Balmaceda. Arrive to Mount Balmaceda itself, where your cozy mountain lodge awaits.
