Iguazu Falls, where over 275 distinct cascades tumble through lush subtropical forest, is one of the most awe-inspiring sights in South America. The falls straddle the border between Argentina ("Iguazu" in Spanish) and Brazil ("Iguaçu" in Portuguese), and you can explore both sides to get different perspectives of this natural marvel during this Iguazu Falls tour. Add Iguazu Falls to any Brazil and Argentina tour.
Highlights
Take a suspended walkway for spectacular views of Iguazu Falls
Raft the lower Iguazu River through Devil's Throat Canyon
Walk the "most beautiful thousand meter walk in the world"
Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
This morning fly to Foz do Iguacu. Begin your tour with a visit to the panoramic Brazil side of the national park. View the impressive Devil's Throat and 3 Musketeer Falls among others as you walk along platforms that overlook the falls! With extra time, take an optional excursion to Macuco Falls or enjoy a helicopter flightseeing tour! Return to your hotel and relax for the evening.
Today set out by exploring the Argentinean side of Iguazu Falls and watch the cascading water from various angles. Begin the day by boarding a small train to Devil's Throat Station, where there's a suspended walkway with spectacular views.
Later explore the two walking circuits, beginning with the upper walk. This is about a quarter-mile long and takes approximately 45 minutes. From here you can see the Two Sisters, Bosseti, Adam and Eve, Bernabe Mendez, Mbiguá, and San Martín Falls. The lower circuit has been described as the "most beautiful thousand meter walk in the world." Heading in a clockwise direction you get a very different perspective of the falls; watch out when you get to the middle of the walkway - you might get wet!!
This afternoon make your way through the jungle in a rugged 4x4 vehicle, traveling the limited-access Yacaratia Trail to nearby Puerto Macuco (minimum age requirement of 12 years). Here leave the truck behind for an inflatable speedboat, in which you'll navigate four miles (7 kms) along the lower Iguazu River. Bring your swimsuit and be prepared to get wet in the refreshingly cool spray from the falls! Approaching the picturesque falls in Devil's Throat Canyon, brave a mile of rapids before finishing your adventure surrounding San Martin Island. Return with zodiacs to Macuco port and back to the hotel in Brazil.
Day 3: Return to Rio de Janeiro or Buenos Aires
Spend the morning exploring independently, and transfer back to the airport for your afternoon flight to Rio de Janeiro or Buenos Aires and explore from there.

This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.

The response from Adventure Life to my first inquiry was prompt and promising. I worked with Jamie Broeckel, Trip Planner, via text, email, and phone calls- always extremely responsive and thorough with information and explaining the process to arrange a private tour for me to Malaysia Borneo. Within about week, the booking was complete and I made decisions because of Jamie's great customer service , friendly manner, and overall competence on behalf of the company's travel expertise. Now I have an itinerary, additional Trip Planner Assistants, several links for vital information for traveling to Maylasia, etc. Still many details for Sept. trip, but now the heavy lifting is done and I can enjoy the rest of the anticipation and research!! Thanks Jamie- you are amazing!!!!

The trip was not only memorable for the amount of animals we saw but also for the people and accommodations at the two camps where we stayed. Our first guide, BK, was a wealth of information about the animals, landscape and down to the plants and what they were used for. Everyday out was a learning experience with him. All the people at the camps were gracious and the food was excellent.
Our second camp in the Okavanga was just as good as the first as far as the staff, accommodations, food and animals. After our experience at the first camp we amazed that the high quality remained the same. Our guide, G, made sure we were able to enjoy every experience including a rush through the bush to witness a cheetah and an ensuing hunt that he heard over his radio.
In both camps there were enough guides out that if they saw something the other guides were informed which helped in seeing as much as possible. It was also nice that the concessions were large enough that we did not have vehicles following each other throughout the day.
Normally there is always something in a trip of this length that we think could be improved upon but this is the rare case where we cannot think of anything. From the time we left the States to when we returned it was one of the most hassle free vacations we took.
Perhaps emphasizing the use of the laundry facilities at the camps would be useful because of the luggage restrictions would be the only thing I can think of as an improvement to future clients.
