Day 3

Explore Patagonia

Today is a free day for you to explore Bariloche. Choose to add an activity of your choice for an additional charge or just spend the day relaxing in Bariloche.  We can help arrange additional activities such as kayaking, whitewater rafting, horseback riding and mountain biking. Here are some suggested, optional tours:

Manso River Valley Mountain Biking (Full-day)
After picking you up at your hotel, we start our adventure driving south, along the shores of the lakes Gutiérrez, Mascardi and Guillelmo. Then we head west along a gravel road up to the first bridge over the Manso River, whose crystal clear waters with green and blue shades (Lower Manso) flow towards the Pacific. There, after preparing our mountain bikes, we pedal over the hanging bridge and start our ride across the Manso valley along the right shore of the river. Along the way, we view the neighboring mountains, such as Bastión and Ventisqueros. We cycle across streams and over small bridges to discover wild Patagonia with its spectacular waterfalls, solitary prairies and a myriad of flora. Halfway through our trip, we enjoy a homemade picnic on the river shore. After a short break, we follow a relatively flat single track until we reach the last stage of the trip, where it becomes steeper and rougher. Again, we bicycle down towards the second hanging bridge across the Manso River, where the impressive emerald waters, its rapids and a magnificent sandy beach make it the ideal setting to relax and start our way back to the city of Bariloche. Includes Lunch. Total distance: 15-20 miles / 25 - 35km

Whitewater Rafting
Set out this day to tackle one of the best Patagonian adventures! You will feel the adrenaline rush as you take on the Class III-IV rapids near the Chilean border. Our trained guides will take you through private country with fantastic scenery to the river. Here enjoy a homemade breakfast and receive your equipment check and safety briefing. Next take on the river for about a 10 km ride mixing fun water entertainment with thrilling rapids in a spectacularly beautiful natural setting! At the end of the ride, you'll enjoy a Patagonian barbecue! Return to Bariloche this evening. Minimum age restriction: 14 yrs old. Includes Lunch.
