Day 1 Arrive Placencia

(D)

Arrive Belize City and fly directly to the friendly Creole fishing village of Placencia. You will be met and transferred to Rum Point Inn, located on one of the most beautiful beaches on the peninsula, where you can choose between a selection of packages including adventure and diving options. Visitors can opt to stay in a sculpted dome cabana within feet of the tranquil Caribbean or one of the air-conditioned garden suites.

Days 2-7 Rum Point Adventures

(6B,6L,6D)

Kayak to the nearby cayes, splash in the garden pool (complete with its own waterfall!), bicycle the country roads near Placencia, or go sailing along one of the largest expanses of white sand beach in the area. The choice is yours!! Rum Point Inn offers complimentary kayaks, snorkeling gear, bicycles, and a sailboat for guests to enjoy anytime.

For ocean lovers, the second largest coral reef in the world lies a short distance from the Belize mainland. The reef is alive with hundreds of species of fish, corals, sea turtles, and sponges to thrill scuba divers and snorkelers alike. Join one of the optional daily excursions to the reef on Rum Point Inn’s own diving vessel, the AURIGA II, or plan multiple dive excursions with an all-inclusive dive package.

For nature lovers, the 10-acres of grounds are interlaced with winding sand walkways, resplendent with gorgeous tropical flowers and trees. Optional tours can be arranged to visit the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, the world's only Jaguar Reserve; boat along Monkey River to search for howler monkeys; or journey to the Maya Ruins of Southern Belize-Lubaantun and Nim Li Punit and the Maya villages of today.

The Placencia area is also considered one of the prime fishing areas of Belize and offers flyfishing for bonefish, tarpon, and permit with expert guides. There is also spin casting and trolling for jack, snapper and baracuda.

Most activities are available any day of the week so there’s no need to decide in advance. Instead, heed the relaxed beat of Caribbean life and follow your whims when you arrive. Staff only requests that you sign up for tours the evening before to be sure that appropriate guides, transportation, and meals can be arranged for your excursion.

Day 8 Return Home

(B)

Transfer to the Placencia airport to catch your short flight to Belize City and onward.
