Argentina Tours - Adventure Life Testimonials and Reviews

one

End of the World

Mary Klainer (End of the World and Beyond, Mar 2016)

Loved loved loved Patagonia and Iguazu falls. Highly recommended.

Machu Picchu by Train

Matt McMullen (South America - Trip of a lifetime!, Dec 2015)

Frankly put, everything about the trip was fantastic. It was truly the trip of a lifetime and Adventure Life's planning made all the difference in the world.

Highlights of Southern Argentina

Leila Babaeva (Awesome Argentina and Torres del Paine, Dec 2014)

It was really wonderful. Lassandra was right on that we needed to spend an extra day at Torres del Paine and our stay there was blissful. Jodi was wonderful in her dealings with us. Thanks for everything - we are very grateful.

Lisa North (Awesome Argentina, Nov 2014)

BA portion excellent hotel/breakfast/private 4 hr tour/transfers. El Calafate - outstanding estancia with character - staff welcoming, food good, great vibe. Horseback ride, hiking on ranch, and ranch tours made location perfect. Ushuaia: hotel had great location, large rooms & friendly staff. Great adventures, fun guides, well equipped and guides took care of the small groups when individuals were not quite up to the adventure. Excellent meals provided by tours. All transfers were smooth. We called this "princess" travel, because neither of us had ever had someone helping with airport transfers before. Security gate to security gate transfers in a country where we don't speak the language was an unexpected treat. I will definitely book with Adventure life in the future.

Iguazu Falls: Argentina

Mary Klainer (End of the World and Beyond, Mar 2016)

Loved loved loved Patagonia and Iguazu falls. Highly recommended.

Susan Witcraft (Antarctica, Fishing in Patagonia, and Iguazu Falls, Jan 2015)

We were thrilled with the ease with which all of the arrangements worked, Jodi's willingness to deal with oodles of last minute requests and the quality and appropriateness of the hotels selected by Adventure Life.

End of the World

Neil Parker (End of the World, Nov 2014)

Everything went superbly. Always met on time. Was so, so smooth. Wonderful attention to detail.

Atmosphere: Ultimate Fly-Fishing

Susan Witcraft (Antarctica, Fishing in Patagonia, and Iguazu Falls, Jan 2015)

We were thrilled with the ease with which all of the arrangements worked, Jodi's willingness to deal with oodles of last minute requests and the quality and appropriateness of the hotels selected by Adventure Life.

Hiking Los Glaciares

Jeffrey Solomon (Patagonia Glacier Explorer and Iguazu Falls, Mar 2015)

What makes a trip so memorable is the process of going into the domain of the imagined but (mostly) unknown and coming out with a personal lore of unexpected experiences and stories that resonate for life. Both Kevin and Jodi managed to apply just enough "stewardship" for us to figure out what we wanted to see and do....and then some. My compliments to them.

Matt Ridge (Patagonia Glacier Explorer and Iguazu Falls, Nov 2014)

The guides were invaluable! They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the entire area, not just the specific spot I was at. Very pleased with the entire trip.

Patagonia Wildlife Safari

Ailene Markham (Argentina + Patagonia + Antarctica Peninsula on the Akademik Loffe, Feb 2016)

Jessica and Veronika were always responsive and supportive with our trip plans. Even in the middle of the trip, we e-mailed with a problem and they called us at the hotel in Ushuaia to help us straighten things out. I would never consider taking a complicated trip like this without having support and would highly recommend Adventure-Life.

Jenna Ferrieri (Honeymoon in Patagonia + El Calafate, Jan 2016)

It was an amazing honeymoon and I'm really excited that we worked with Adventure Life for this trip -- probably the best vacation we've been on!

Jeanne Hartig (Patagonia Wildlife Safari El Calafate, Dec 2015)

OMG. I travel a lot but this trip was seriously awesome. Our guide Valentinus was one of the best I've ever had. Arrangements were great, good food, and I now am buying South African wines. The holiday special arrangements were quite wonderful. Thank you for an amazing trip. My only worry is whether when I turn 65 next month that you all will still let me book with you!

Matt McMullen (South America - Trip of a lifetime!, Dec 2015)

Frankly put, everything about the trip was fantastic. It was truly the trip of a lifetime and Adventure Life's planning made all the difference in the world.

Renato Alagao (Patagonia Wildlife Safari, Oct 2015)

Overall our trip was an amazing experience. Logistically it was organized and well planned out. Eco camp was by far the best lodging. It offered something unique and different to us while still not being too primitive. l Galpon Del Glaciar in Argentina was truly a gem. Initially we were a bit bummed that it was quite aways from the town. But we certainly appreciated the country, outdoors, ranch style of vibe, and it was in the same direction towards the glacier. The staff was extremely nice, welcoming, and cordial. The food was excellent. The Wi-Fi available in the lobby was relieving.

Akademik Ioffe: Antarctic Peninsula Adventure

Ailene Markham (Argentina + Patagonia + Antarctica Peninsula on the Akademik Loffe, Feb 2016)

Jessica and Veronika were always responsive and supportive with our trip plans. Even in the middle of the trip, we e-mailed with a problem and they called us at the hotel in Ushuaia to help us straighten things out. I would never consider taking a complicated trip like this without having support and would highly recommend Adventure-Life.

National Geographic Explorer: Antarctica, South Georgia and the Falkland Islands

Cheryl Brooking (Buenos Aires and Colonia, Aug 2015)

The Argentine Experience was one of the many highlights of this trip. Fantastic food and a lot of fun. We visited Tigre in the off season, so many things were closed. As a substitute, we went to the small Mate Museum and it was a real treat. I would love to go back and spend more time in Colonia, Uruguay and stay in that wonderful hotel right next to the pier.

Beautiful Buenos Aires and the Falls

Tamara Buckmaster (Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls, Oct 2014)

Jodi was very helpful and easy to work with. Our Buenos Aires guide was very nice and knowledgeable. Our Iguazu Falls guide was nice and efficient. Luana in Rio was awsome! She's one of the best guides I've ever had. The Argentine Dining Experience was exceptional, with excellent hosts and food. We loved it. The tango and dinner show were nice - dancing show was excellent, but food was average. The Rio tours were wonderful and beautiful. NH Lancaster was my favorite of all our lodging. Friendly staff with nice rooms. Aldea Lodge was nice with a really great location; and they had a great breakfast. I would stay there again. Overall, one of our favorite trips. We will travel with Adventure Life again, and recommend to friends and family.

Ocean Nova Air Cruises: Antarctic Small Ship Expedition

Lee Hoffman (Antarctic Small Ship Expedition on Ocean Nova Air Cruises, Mar 2016)

South Shetlands/Antarctica was an out-of-this-world experience and both the ship and the excursion staff were excellent. It's a lot of time on a ship to get there and back, but well worth it.

MV Stella Australis: Discover Patagonia: Ushuaia to Punta Arenas

Liz Wood (Stella Australis Cruise, Apr 2015)

This is the 2nd time I have been on the Patagonia cruise and it is spectacular. What a great experience.

El Calafate - Perito Moreno Glacier

Andy Smith (El Calafate and Torres del Paine, Feb 2016)

What an amazing trip, Adventure Life provided a well planned and thought out trip that met all of our requirements, from the planning stages 2 years ago until the wheels hit the ground back in NYC, the Adventure Life team was with us for every step. During our journey we met many other couples who had booked through other travel agencies, none of them were as thorough as Adventure Life, our itinerary was flawless and had great explanations of each of our days and what to expect, or who to look for when reaching a new destination. We will be booking with Adventure Life again very soon.

Ocean Nova (QU): Antarctica Fly and Cruise

Jim Spingarn (Antarctica and Torres del Paine, Feb 2015)

The "Ocean Nova" did a very good job! We enjoyed the trip immensely and think both Mindy and, particularly, Jodi were very helpful and easy to deal with.

Bariloche

Nancy Yurek (Discover Argentina, Feb 2015)

Hotels: -Lancaster was in a good central location, nice rooms, very comfy beds, helpful staff. -The Estancia was EXCELLENT- one of the best lodging experiences we've ever had. We went to Patagonia to experience the great outdoors & the Estancia was a perfect place to do it. Guides: BA guide was a sweet person. Mendoza guide was excellent- very thorough. Angostura driver & guide was also excellent. Our guide recommended we take a tour of Colon Theatre which was probably the nicest building in BA. -Tango show/dinner in BA was very good. -Loved Zuccardi~ best winery we saw. Cooking lesson was very fun, food was bountiful & delish. - Hiking & horseback riding @ Estancia: GREAT! Food @ Estancia was much better than we expected for an all-inclusive. Great to have so many non-meat offerings after a trip heavy on the beef. Pre-dinner cocktail hour with staff & all the other guests made it feel like we were guests at someone's private home instead.

Highlights of Uruguay

Karen Snider (Argentina Adventure + Highlights of Uruguay, Feb 2016)

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).

Maria Yurasek (Argentina Adventure + Highlights of Uruguay, Feb 2016)

Loved the diversity of locales, the activities, the hotels - did so much in 7 days! Just fell in love with Uruguay - would return!

Franny Friesz of Adventure Life and Lucas Studer of Exito were tremendously helpful. Franny responded immediately to all my inquiries with professionalism and with a welcome sense of humor. Lucas provided with important perspective by offering the wisest options for flight connections. The drivers Adventure Life secured for me in Buenos Aires and Ushuaia provided perfect service. In both cities the drivers greeted with a clear sign and with good cheer. They drove safely, the cars were comfortable, and the drivers offered pleasant and interesting information about their cities. My hotel in Ushuaia, Hotel de los Andes, was comfortable and conveniently located. And, though I had informed Franny and Lucas that I required gluten free food on the airplanes and on the ship, I was both surprised and impressed to find that the hotel was ready with gluten free food for me, too. In addition, I was impressed that Adventure Life’s local agent, Jose Galotti of Kallpa Tour, called me at my hotel to check on me, and to make sure I knew where and when to board the ship. Finally, I was also reassured by Adventure Life’s emails that arrived the day before I departed. I felt as if Franny were right there with me seeing me off. Sea Explorer: Falklands, South Georgia, & Antarctica via Puerto Madryn

David Gale (Falklands, South Georgia, & Antarctica on the Sea Explorer, Jan 2016)

Extremely well-planned and executed voyage. Amazing guides. Kayaking among the icebergs. Serendipitous weather in the Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica. Except for some rock and rolling in a few tempestuous seas, the expedition was everything we could imagine and more.
