Go on game drives and spot wildlife in Hwange National Park
Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Today you are picked up in Victoria Falls town and drive the two and a half hours to Hwange main, where you then switch vehicles and drive the remaining 1.5 hours on to Nehimba Lodge. Settle in to one of seven luxury chalets offered here and get a feel for your unique surroundings. The lodge is situated on the edge of a mopane forest in northern Hwange Park and overlooks a very popular pan that attracts Hwange's 'giants', or elephants, in large numbers. Take a dip in the pool to cool off at the end of the day and see if the elephants get close enough to take a drink!
Spend your days here experiencing the wildlife of Hwange National Park. Choose your activities everyday as you venture in to the park with a professional and licensed guide. Game drives and walking safaris are offered every morning and evening. Or spend your time in the Nehimba Hide watching for wildlife, including the elephant-hunting lions that frequent the area.
Go on a night drive with a filtered spotlight to see species that prefer to show themselves at night, such as hyena, leopard, civets, porcupine, and genet cats. Visit Mandavu Dam for more wildlife spotting or some great birding. Take a full-day excursion to the nearby Mtoa Ruins located two hours from the lodge on top of a low granite kopje. Your adventures at Nehimba vary daily and the wildlife sightings are unique and exciting each day.

Kate was great to work with in the planning stage. She was prompt, helpful, and efficient. Our tour guide, Edwin, was knowledgeable and passionate. We were very happy to have traveled with Adventure Life, it made the trip easy and a true pleasure. We could concentrate on enjoying the experience rather than the details of travel.

The trip was not only memorable for the amount of animals we saw but also for the people and accommodations at the two camps where we stayed. Our first guide, BK, was a wealth of information about the animals, landscape and down to the plants and what they were used for. Everyday out was a learning experience with him. All the people at the camps were gracious and the food was excellent.
Our second camp in the Okavanga was just as good as the first as far as the staff, accommodations, food and animals. After our experience at the first camp we amazed that the high quality remained the same. Our guide, G, made sure we were able to enjoy every experience including a rush through the bush to witness a cheetah and an ensuing hunt that he heard over his radio.
In both camps there were enough guides out that if they saw something the other guides were informed which helped in seeing as much as possible. It was also nice that the concessions were large enough that we did not have vehicles following each other throughout the day.
Normally there is always something in a trip of this length that we think could be improved upon but this is the rare case where we cannot think of anything. From the time we left the States to when we returned it was one of the most hassle free vacations we took.
Perhaps emphasizing the use of the laundry facilities at the camps would be useful because of the luggage restrictions would be the only thing I can think of as an improvement to future clients.
