Punta Arenas Penguin Colonies
Magdalena Island’s Penguin Colony
Take a morning zodiac trip from Punta Arenas out in the Strait of Magellan to
Magdalena Island, where you will see over 100,000 Magellanic penguins! Spend
your time along the shore of the island, or take a walk to the lighthouse located
up the winding trail through the penguin colony. Around noon, transfer back
to your hotel in Punta Arenas.

Seno Otway Penguin Reserve
Depart from Punta Arenas to visit the Seno Otway Penguin Reserve where
Magellanic penguins come to breed each year. Various trails and blinds
provide excellent opportunity to observe their comic antics. In the
afternoon, you will transfer back to your hotel in Punta Arenas.
Serrano River Navigation 2 day Excursion
Arrive in Punta Arenas and transfer to the bus station for the trip to Puerto Natales. Arrive this afternoon, transfer to the hotel, and relax this evening.
Bright and early this morning you will embark on a large catamaran sailing through the ice river of Ultima Esperanza Fjord where waterfalls pour from steep cliffs. Soon the shear walls of Balmaceda Glacier loom above us, accompanied by the booming sound of giant ice blocks falling from the glacier. After lunch, the catamaran begins its return Puerto Natales, but we board zodiacs to continue up river to Serrano Falls. Here we walk around the falls and board another zodiac for the rest of our trip into Torres del Paine. With luck, we’ll have a chance to see seals, sea lions, porpoises, black-necked swans and other Patagonian wildlife. Upon reaching the park headquarters take a private transfer to the EcoCamp. After settling into the EcoCamp, you’ll have time to take in the breathtaking sight of Torres del Paine, take a short hike, or just relax after your adventure!

Pumalin Park by Sea Kayak (4 day)
This sea kayaking adventure takes place in the heart of Pumalin Park, traveling along the beautiful Quintupeo and Cahuelmó fjords. Visitors will also enjoy hot spring baths and walks to hidden lakes that very few have visited.

Take a zodiac out on the Strait of Magellan to Magdalena Island where you will see over 100,000 penguins or hike to the lighthouse through the penguin colony. Or, visit Seno Otway on the Otway Inlet where Magellanic Penguins return annually to lay eggs and raise their young. Enjoy the comic antics of these delightful creatures at close range.
