On this trip, we begin by visiting the Almaviva winery with its mix
of the indigenous Mapuche culture of Chile with the tradition and elegance
of the Rothschilds from France. We will have a tasting of the
Almaviva 2002 wine.
We will make our way towards Pirque, where the Concha y Toro winery
awaits us with a special collection of wines ready for tasting after
learning about their traditions and legends. Amongst other wines we
will taste their key product, Don Melchor, and realize why this wine
has been one of the best Chilean wines for the last 15 harvests.
We then have the option of going to the wine bar and tasting other wines.
Our next stop will be at the restaurant of the Origen Foundation with
local and organic food in a very comfortable ambience (lunch is not
included in the trip cost).
After this lunch we continue visiting Antiyal winery, where we will
enjoy their unique organic wines, gaining an understanding of the background
behind such wines and learn about biodynamic agriculture.
