Day 1 Athens, Greece / Embark
Arrive in Athens and transfer to Piraeus to embark Callisto.
Day 2 Folegandros / Hora
Call at the small volcanic island of Folegandros. From the harbor, a narrow road leads to Hora, a charming village that has preserved a portion of the medieval town that preceded it. Enjoy relaxing in this quaint village, built upon a 200-meter cliff, with its smart cafes and delightful tavernas.
Day 3 Amorgos
Arrive this morning at Amorgos, a seldom visited island in the Cyclades group, whose whitewashed villages are set in a rugged landscape. A tour leads to the 11thcentury Monastery of Khosoviotissa, built in a spectacular setting of precipitous cliffs facing the sea. For over 1,000 years, the monastery has been a place of pilgrimage for worshipers who come to venerate an icon of the Virgin.
Day 4 Nisyros / Symi
Explore the island of Nisyros and its impressive volcano. The drive to the crater provides magnificent views and upon arrival, you’ll have the opportunity to walk to the caldera. Continue to the charming village of Nikiá, positioned atop the crater, where you’ll have time to stroll through its quaint streets, enjoy time at leisure, or visit its volcanological museum. In the afternoon, sail to Symi, once the stronghold of the Knights of St. John and the coveted object of a succession of invaders. With tiers of beautifully proportioned neoclassical mansions rising above its harbor, today Symi is one of Greece’s most attractive islands.
Day 5 Patmos
The rugged volcanic island of Patmos is to the Christian world what Delos was to the ancients: the most sacred island in the Aegean. This is where St. John the Evangelist was banished to during the reign of the Roman Emperor Domitian and is said to have received the visions of Apocalypse, which later became the Book of Revelation. Peek inside the 11th-century Monastery of the Revelation with its enormous towers, domed roofs, belfries, and battlements. Admire the artistry of the icons, manuscripts, and fine embroideries.
Day 6 Chios
Awake this morning in Chios, the Greek island claiming to be Homer’s birthplace. The island’s volcanic rock formations and deep green valleys forge a landscape of stunning color oppositions and intricate appearances. Visit the 11th-century Monastery of Nea Moni, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important ecclesiastical monuments in Greece. The Monastery sits majestically in a wooded vale and is decorated throughout with exquisite frescoes and mosaics.
Day 7 Skopelos
Skopelos’s main town is built against a hill rising from the sea. As we explore the island, we will discover some of the most characteristic Aegean architecture— whitewashed cube-shaped houses with blue slate roofs. Scattered around the countryside are numerous little churches preserving beautiful icons from the 17th and 18th centuries.
Day 8 Limni
Explore the picturesque village of Limni, located on the northwest island of Evvia. After spending time in this quaint fishing village with its splendid beaches, continue on an excursion to the Convent of Saint Nicholas. Situated on Mount Kandhili, the views from the convent are excellent. Rebuilt many times since its original foundation, the convent retains a 13th-century tower as well as 16th-century frescoes.
Day 9 Piraeus / Disembark / Athens
Disembark in Piraeus and transfer to the airport in Athens for your independent return flights home.

Callisto

- Ship Highlights
- Passengers : 34
- Luxury Expedition Ship
Callisto is the last word in sophistication. The guest list is limited to 34—a group large enough to bring together an interesting mix, but small enough to foster a true spirit of community. Cabins are more like guest rooms in a fine home -- beautifully furnished, comfortably arranged, and complete with the little extras one would expect from a thoughtful host. The yacht's public areas, whether indoors or out on deck, are warm, inviting places where friends meet for conversation, a drink, or to pass a pleasant hour with a good book. The cuisine is superb. And the service is considerate and congenial for the best in luxury cruising of the Mediterranean, coastal Africa, Greek Isles and more.
Callisto was designed with the comfort of her guests in mind. All staterooms are exterior with large windows (portholes on Daphne Deck) that look out on the sea and the yacht's various ports of call; they are air conditioned and feature generous storage space, a telephone, two-channel radio, and a marble bath with shower. The yacht's public areas include a spacious lounge; a dining room in which all guests are accommodated at a single unassigned seating; two broad decks for sunbathing and dining alfresco; and a swimming platform at the yacht's stern. The Callisto flies the Greek flag and is served by a crew of 18.
Amenities
Beautifully appointed and filled with amenities one would expect to find in a fine country house, the 17 cabins feature large windows (portholes on the Daphne Deck) that look out on the sea. Cabins also feature:
• Satellite TV, DVD/CD player
• Telephone
• Mini-refrigerator
• Marble-appointed bathroom with fine toiletries
• Plush terry robes and slippers
• Fresh flowers and fruit basket
• 24-hour room service
Decorated with rich fabrics, handsome wood, polished brass, rare antiquities and fine works of art, the yacht’s public spaces are warm and inviting. These include:
• Library with Internet access
• Lounge with audiovisual facilities
• Dining room
• Two sun decks
• Jacuzzi
• Swimming platform
Fine Dining
To delight the gourmet palate, Callisto’s steward and kitchen staff seek fresh provisions from many ports of call. Guests savor just-caught fish and perfectly ripened produce from local markets, resulting in menus of classic regional specialties as well as creative Continental fare. Select regional wines are complimentary with lunch and dinner, and beginning in 2008, there will be open bar service throughout the day. Meals are served at a single, unassigned seating in the elegantly-styled dining room, surrounded by large picture windows. Weather permitting, guests may also dine al fresco on the broad sun decks.
An Uncommon Advantage
Callisto’s compact size allows visits to unspoiled islets, pristine beaches and intimate coves inaccessible to larger cruise-liners. At once large enough to offer every possible comfort, she is small enough to navigate tiny inlets and berth in exclusive harbors, taking travelers where few have ever gone.
