Arrive at the Baltra airport and transfer to the Galapagos Voyager.
Journey to Dragon Hill, where a hypersalinic lagoon sits behind the beach. Flamingos frequent this pool of water, which is far saltier than the ocean. You can also hike up a short trail to the top of the hill, which has panoramic views of the island.
Day 2: Chinese Hat - Rabida
In the morning, travel to Chinese Hat, named for its unique volcanic shape. This islet is home to a colony of sea lions which often frequents the the white sand beach. Hope to see American Oystercatchers and Galapagos Penguins as they swim along the shore, and watch Sally-Lightfoot Crabs as they wander around the volcanic rock.
In the afternoon, travel to Rabida to view a variety of bird and marine life. Relax on the red sand beaches or snorkel in the waves.
Day 3: Isabela
Travel to the wetlands of Isabela Island. This island consists of lagoons, swamps and mangroves which provide shelter for common stilts, white-cheeked pintails, whimbrels, and gallinules. Take a foot path which winds its way through the swamps.
Cross to Sierra Negra, a large shield volcano. This area is the primary habitat for the Sierra Negra giant tortoise. View the tall trees and lush vegetation of the island on a simple hike around the area.
Day 4: Santa Cruz Island - Baltra
Make your way to Los Gemelos, two volcanic depressions on the highest part of Santa Cruz. Explore the area on foot and enjoy sweeping views of the island.
In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for your connection back to the mainland.

This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.

The pre-planning and execution of the plan was excellent. They were even able to help get glasses returned when a member or our party left them in a hotel.

I spoke with at least a half dozen other travel companies, looking for a Galapagos cruise that fit our schedule and budget. Some companies could manage one or the other, but Erin was the only one who could do both. She found us the perfect cruise, at a fantastic price! And she has been quick and patient with responses to my many questions. So far, Adventure Life has been a fantastic company to work with!
