Day 7 At Sea
Day 8 Balboa, Panama
This port marks the entrance to the Panama Canal on the Pacific coast and takes its name from the Spaniard Vasco Nunez de Balboa. Here you are free to explore the Miraflores locks or simply to relax in the lovely "casco Viejo" visiting elegant monuments such as San Jose Church, the Santo Domingo Convent and Plaza de Francia
In the late afternoon, crossing Panama Canal: Construction of this engineering miracle began in 1881 under Ferdinand de Lesseps, French architect and was achieved by an American one in 1914. While our exact transit time through this 51 mile-long cannot be guaranteed, your crossing is sure to be a treasured highlight of this cruise any time of the day or night.
Day 9 San Blas, Panama
The San Blas Islands conceal a little-known secret world: that of the Kunas Amerindians. Between these unspoiled islands fringed by palm trees, people still travel in dugout canoes. The women here make “molas”, gorgeous brightly coloured fabrics with geometric motifs.
Day 10 Cartagena, Columbia
Cartagena is a former bastion of the Spanish Empire where gold pillaged from the Aztec and Inca empires was stored before being shipped to Spain. A UNESCO World Heritage site, this is a fascinating place to explore as its streets have retained all the charm of the town’s heroic period.
Day 11 At Sea
Day 12 Willemstad, Curacao, Dutch West Indies
Off the Venezuelan coast lie the leeward islands of the Dutch West Indies, with wonderfully evocative names like Curacao with its white sandy beaches lying at the foot of Mount Christofel. The island’s capital of Willemstad has retained a very special ambiance while attractive buildings from the colonial period seem to suddenly appear on every corner and square of the old district.

Life aboard the Le Boreal
Find a special ambiance aboard the Le Boreal, as well as the feeling that you are on board your own yacht.
Whether you want to join other guests in the theatre or games area (Wii™ consoles, etc), or relax on your own in a quiet corner of the library, Le Boréal has been designed to meet the needs of every guest. Fitted with the latest equipment (Kinesis Wall, running machine) and the luxurious Beauty Centre on Le Boréal welcomes you for some unforgettable moments of relaxation and pampering.
Everything has been done to preserve the independence of each guest to suit their personal tastes: lounges for lectures and shows, the spa, but also more intimate spaces such as the library and internet corner. Comfortable cabins, nearly all with private balcony, are available for families either as triples or as communicating cabins. There is also a games area with Wii™ consoles, children’s menus, and baby-sitting service. Just as if you were on a private yacht, your time is your own to do as you please.
