This 8 Day Southeastern Islands Galapagos cruise on the ship, Millennium, explores the wildlife-rich shores of San Cristobal, Espanola, Floreana and more!

Day 1

Baltra - Santa Cruz Island - Dragon Hill

Begin your Galapagos adventure on the island of Baltra, part of a pair known as the Seymour Islands. Baltra was created by geological uplift and has a variety of endemic species such as salt bushes, prickly pear cactus and palo santo trees. Bird life is also plentiful here, and very entertaining!

In the afternoon, travel on to Dragon Hill. Located on Santa Cruz Island, this area boasts a hyper-saline lagoon, a favorite site of native flamingos. Climb up the hill and enjoy breathtaking views of the bay below.

    Day 2

      Mosquera - Santa Fe

Journey to Mosquera Islet, a reef of rocks and coral. This islet houses one of the largest populations of sea lions and many sea birds make their nests along the rocky shore.

      Day 3

        San Cristobal - Lobos

Spend the day at Lobos Island and Kicker Rock. The island is home to countless sea lions, blue-footed boobies, great frigate-birds, brown pelicans, lava gulls, common noddies, yellow warblers and small and medium ground finches. The clear water of the area sports wonderful snorkeling and opportunities to swim with the sea lions. At Kicker Rock, swim with reef fish in the channel and glimpse hammerhead and Galapagos sharks.

        Day 4

          San Cristobal

Sail to Pitt Point and take a hike up a cliff which leads you through a ravine. This hike leads travelers to an abundance of birds. View the sea lion colony and swim in the warm waters.

In the afternoon, explore Witch Hill and relax on its picturesque white-sand beaches.

          Day 5

            San Cristobal

Continue your exploration of San Cristobal.

            Day 6

              Espanola

Journey to Suarez Point, one of the most significantly wild-life rich locations in the Galapagos archipelago. View marine iguanas and over-sized lava lizards as they sun themselves on the rocks.

In the afternoon, travel to Gardner Bay to snorkel with a variety of fish and the occasional turtle and shark.

              Day 7

                Floreana

In the morning, visit Baroness’ Observatory for exceptional views of La Loberia. Learn the history of the island while exploring the lookout.

Sail for Post Office Bay, a white-sand beach where past whalers used to leave and receive their letters in a barrel. Take part in the tradition, yourself, by leaving an addressed postcard in the barrel and pick up any within close proximity to your home to deliver.

                Day 8

Santa Cruz Island - Charles Darwin Center - Baltra

Visit the Charles Darwin Research Station to learn about the natural history of the islands and the effects of human involvement. See the tortoise breeding and rearing project at work.

In the afternoon, transfer to the airport to connect with your flights back to the mainland.
