Day 1 Vienna | Embark

Board the MS Beethoven in Vienna in the end of the afternoon. Settle in your cabin and attend to the crew introduction over a welcome cocktail. Then, depart for a tour of Vienna by night. Sail during the evening to Melk. 

Day 2 Melk | Wachau Valley | Dürnstein

Join an excursion to the abbey of Melk. Created in 1089, it hosts Benedictine monks for more than 900 years. Its impressive library room has a remarkable marble room, and frescoes by Paul Troger, and stunning views on the Danube River. Then cruise to Dürnstein, through the beautiful Wachau Valley, arriving in the middle of the afternoon. Discover this charming village, situated at the foot of the ruins of the castle, famous for its legend of Richard Lion Heart. Return on board in the end of the afternoon and cruise toward Bratislava.

Day 3 Bratislava

Today depart for an excursion to the capital of Slovakia. The charm of Bratislava lies in its old city, with splendid baroque palaces, churches, and pleasant squares. Spend the afternoon sailing to Kalocsa. 

Day 4 Kalocsa | Puzsta

This morning set off on an excursion to the Puzsta and attend to an equestrian show. Also named the Great Plain, in the 19th century, this huge grassland was considered the wild west of Hungary. Spend the afternoon sailing to Budapest, the “pearl of the Danube”, arriving during the night.

Day 5 Budapest

Today choose to spend a free day in Budapest or join a guided tour of the city. Separated by the Danube River, Buda, cultural and ancient town, and Pest, popular and lively part of the capital, the two parts are joined by nine bridges, including the famous Bridge of Chains. Enjoy a traditional show in Budapest before you get back on board. Sail to Esztergom during the night.

Day 6 Esztergom

This morning have some free time in Esztergom, one of the most ancient Hungarian town, dominated by its basilica, the biggest one of central Europe. Spend the afternoon sailing to Vienna and enjoy your gala evening on board. 

Day 7 Vienna

Depart for a guided visit of Vienna and Schönbrunn Palace. Then, join a guided tour of the Hofburg Palace, former residence of the Habsburgs during six centuries. Today there is the possibility to attend a concert of Viennese music (optional and subject to availability).

Day 8 Vienna | Disembark

After breakfast, disembark in Vienna and transfer to the airport for your onward flights.
