One of the oldest cities in the world, Lisbon is the capital of Portugal and its largest city. It is also the westernmost capital in Europe—and one of the most beautiful capitals on the continent. Embark the Tere Moana here, and enjoy time to settle into your stateroom before the ship sets sail this evening.
Day 2: Portimao, Portugal
1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Located on the sun-splashed southern coast of Portugal, the Algarve region boasts an average of more than 300 sunny days a year and more than 100 of the finest golden beaches in Europe. Amid this charming landscape of whitewashed villages and almond groves lies Portimão, the largest town in the western Algarve. Set on the banks of the Arade River, Portimão features colorful architecture, as well as excellent shopping and an abundance of restaurants and cafés. The There Moana will be able to sail up the waterway directly into Seville where big ships cannot.
Day 3: Seville, Spain
1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
The capital of Andalucia, one of the 17 Autonomous Communities of Spain, Seville is steeped in 2,000 years of history. The old quarter is influenced by medieval, Renaissance, and baroque styles, as well as the Arab culture, and magnificent monuments may be found around every corner. Christopher Columbus, who launched the age of exploration, was laid to rest in the cathedral here, which is also the largest Gothic building in Europe. Together with the Alcázar royal palace and the Archivo de Indias (General Archive of the Indies), it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Immerse yourself in the city’s treasure trove of museums, most especially the Museo de Bellas Artes (Museum of Fine Arts). And be sure to sample the popular tapas, or appetizers, in the city that is credited with their invention.
The Tere Moana will sail directly into the city—something a larger vessel simply can’t do. Day 4: Ceuta, Spain
1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Located on the African continent and surrounded by Morocco, Ceuta is actually a Spanish enclave—an enchanting fortified city overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar. Enjoy the city’s small beach, a well as museums, shops, and monuments.
Day 5: Motril, Spain
1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
A pretty seaside resort in the Andalucian province of Granada, on the Costa Tropical, Motril features a historic quarter known as a fine example of Arab-Spanish urban development, as well as excellent shopping and dining. The city’s Museum of Sugar celebrates what was the city’s main industry for centuries. And enjoy diving in the warm waters off its many beaches, which include three nude beaches.
Day 6: Ibiza, Spain
1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
The Balearic Islands, an archipelago in the Mediterranean off the east coast of Spain, are one of Spain’s 17 Autonomous Communities. Ibiza, one of four main islands of the chain, offers superb weather, beautiful scenery, exceptional beaches, and warm hospitality. The main city of Ibiza, also called Ibiza, boasts a history that dates to the ancient Phoenicians and Carthaginians, though it is better known as an artists’ and hippie colony during the 1960s and today as a popular getaway for travelers and jetsetters. While here, enjoy the city’s charming historic architecture, beautiful beaches, and lively nightlife.
Day 7: Palma de Mallorca, Spain
1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Today features a call on the capital of Mallorca, the largest of Spain’s Balearic Islands. Built atop the Roman city of Palmaria, whose ruins continue to be unearthed, Palma de Mallorca offers a multicultural history that has resulted in a mix of architectural styles. The highlight is the city’s Gothic cathedral—one of the finest in Spain—built on the site where a Roman temple and then a mosque once stood. The Arab quarter—a warren of narrow alleyways housing museums, palaces, and courtyards—rewards exploration. Yet, Palma de Mallorca also has a sophisticated side and offers the island’s best shopping, restaurants, and nightlife.
Day 8: Disembark in Barcelona, Spain
1 Breakfast
The capital of Catalonia, one of Spain’s 17 Autonomous Communities, and the second-largest city in Spain (after Madrid), lively Barcelona boasts a multicultural ambiance and a Mediterranean climate and lifestyle. You’ll disembark the Tere Moana here, after breakfast this morning.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!

Hannah and Nur got the gist of what we wanted our trip to be. They got us in hotels that were located centrally to historic tours. Tours and excursions that were significant, enriching and enjoyable. We had drivers that were on time/reliable. We got from location to location with ease. I would never have been able to plan this myself. I would not have known enough to ask for what we needed. This was above and beyond what I expected. Well done!
