On day 2, enjoy a guided tour of Lisbon in the morning. Explore the distinctive buildings and landmarks, including Lisbon's famous tower and the Jerónimos Monastery - the most prominent example of Late Gothic Manueline architecture in the country. This afternoon, join a panoramic tour of Lisbon by coach, and discover why it is referred to as Portugal’s “City of Light”. Return to the hotel after this full day. The evening is free to do as you please.
Day 3: Évora | Vila Réal de Santo Antonio | Embark
Leave by coach for Évora. Its beauty, simplicity, and strong historical significance make it without a doubt one of the most interesting places in Portugal to visit. After your visit, head to Olhão, the largest fishing port in the Algarve region. It’s full of character, and a stroll through the historic center lets you admire the elegant merchants’ homes and the church of Nossa Senhora do Rosário, built in 1698. At the end of the afternoon, hit the road again towards Vila Réal de Santo Antonio. Arrive in the evening, and comfortably settle into your cabin on the ship. Before dinner, introduce yourself to the crew at a welcome cocktail served in the lounge.
Enjoy a coach guided visit of the Friary of La Rábida, where Christopher Columbus stayed for two years before his famous voyage. Then visit the Wharf of the Caravels and the replicas of Columbus’ infamous Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria. Spend the afternoon cruising the river to Alcoutim. Pass through some fabulous landscapes and cruise by some timeless villages. Enjoy some free time in Alcoutim. Return on board and cruise to Cádiz. Tonight enjoy a Portuguese-themed dinner and evening.
This morning, be part of an excursion to Cádiz and Sanlucar de Barrameda. Still retaining its Moorish appearance, this pastel-painted city is a melting pot of cultural and historical riches. Then continue on to Sanlucar de Barrameda and visit a well-known wine cellar for a tasting of the unique Manzanilla sherry. Return on board and cruise towards El Puerto de Santa Maria. In the afternoon, visit Jerez, the Andalusian capital of wine and horses - and the cradle of flamenco music. Enjoy a panoramic tour that takes you to the cathedral and the Alcazar Palace. Continue with a visit to a “ganadería” (a property where bulls are raised) and the chance to learn about this living symbol of Spanish culture. Return on board for a Spanish-themed dinner and evening.
Cruise along the impressive Guadalquivir River. The river's name comes from a classical Arab phrase meaning "great valley" and reminds us of the times when the Moors reigned over Al-Andalus. This afternoon, join a guided tour of Seville. Discover the cathedral, the Alcazar palace and its Andalusian gardens, Maria Luisa Park, and the attractive district of Santa Cruz. Return on board.
This day discover a full-day trip to Córdoba, once part of the Caliphate of Cordoba. Return on board in the evening. Tonight enjoy a festive gala evening.

Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.

The response from Adventure Life to my first inquiry was prompt and promising. I worked with Jamie Broeckel, Trip Planner, via text, email, and phone calls- always extremely responsive and thorough with information and explaining the process to arrange a private tour for me to Malaysia Borneo. Within about week, the booking was complete and I made decisions because of Jamie's great customer service , friendly manner, and overall competence on behalf of the company's travel expertise. Now I have an itinerary, additional Trip Planner Assistants, several links for vital information for traveling to Maylasia, etc. Still many details for Sept. trip, but now the heavy lifting is done and I can enjoy the rest of the anticipation and research!! Thanks Jamie- you are amazing!!!!

The trip was not only memorable for the amount of animals we saw but also for the people and accommodations at the two camps where we stayed. Our first guide, BK, was a wealth of information about the animals, landscape and down to the plants and what they were used for. Everyday out was a learning experience with him. All the people at the camps were gracious and the food was excellent.
Our second camp in the Okavanga was just as good as the first as far as the staff, accommodations, food and animals. After our experience at the first camp we amazed that the high quality remained the same. Our guide, G, made sure we were able to enjoy every experience including a rush through the bush to witness a cheetah and an ensuing hunt that he heard over his radio.
In both camps there were enough guides out that if they saw something the other guides were informed which helped in seeing as much as possible. It was also nice that the concessions were large enough that we did not have vehicles following each other throughout the day.
Normally there is always something in a trip of this length that we think could be improved upon but this is the rare case where we cannot think of anything. From the time we left the States to when we returned it was one of the most hassle free vacations we took.
Perhaps emphasizing the use of the laundry facilities at the camps would be useful because of the luggage restrictions would be the only thing I can think of as an improvement to future clients.
