Board the Panorama at 3 PM. Attend a welcome dinner and familiarize yourself with the ship and its crew. Overnight in port.
Day 2: Valetta / Gozo Island
In the morning, sail from Valetta to Gozo Island. Arrive in Gozo Harbor after lunch and join an optional excursion to the Citadel and its Baroque Cathedral, Our Lady of Ta Pinu Basilica, the St. George Basilica, and the Cathedral Museum. In the afternoon, attend a short wine tasting before returning to the ship. Depart for Syracuse in the late evening and overnight at sea.
Day 3: Syracuse
In the morning, arrive at the port of Syracuse. The city, one of the most prestigious of the Hellenistic world, rivaled Athens in power. Join an optional morning excursion to the spectacular 15,000-seat Greek theater, the Roman amphitheater, the archeological museum, the Temple of Apollo, the Fountain of Aretusa, and the Cathedral, which incorporates the remains of the famed Temple of Athena.
After lunch, take an inland tour to Sicily's southeast region, known for its Baroque towns. Visit well-preserved Noto, a small town situated on a plateau. In the evening, sail for the Aeolian Islands and overnight at sea.
Day 4: Lipari
Arrive at Lipari, the largest of the Aeolian Islands. Sitting high on a red volcanic rock, the Greek poet Homer described the island as a 'wall of bronze.' Archeological remains found on the island yield clues to civilizations which date to 1700 BC. Highlights include several Neolithic stones that sit alongside ancient tombstones, and the ruins of Greek walls and Roman Villas. The Spaniards landed on the island in the 16th century and built the Castello and the 17th century cathedral which is perched above the harbor. Spend the afternoon at your leisure and overnight in port.
Day 5: Lipari / Vulcano Island
In the morning, sail from Lipari to Vulcano Island, made famous for its mud baths and majestic volcano crater.
In the afternoon, sail for Panarea, a quaint old-style Aeolian island. Explore the island and gather in the evening for a traditional farewell dinner at anchor. Begin the return trip to Catania and sail past the island of Stromboli, famous for its ever-active volcano. View the volcano as it erupts in the twilight. Overnight at sea.
Day 6: Catania / Taormina
In the morning, join a day excursion to Taormina. The city features endless winding medieval streets and secluded gardens. Stroll along the Corso Umberto and views its many piazza, doumos, and palazzi. Take a guided tour of the ancient Greek theater. Overnight in port.
Day 7: Catania
In the morning, take a guided excursion to the Etna Volcano, an active volcano and the highest point in Sicily. In the afternoon, take a walking tour of the city. Enjoy the traditional farewell dinner aboard the ship and start your return to Malta. Overnight at sea.
Day 8: Malta
Arrive in Malta at 8:30 AM and disembark between 9 and 10 AM.

Child Discount (in Cat. A only):
Children between the ages of 7-10 sharing a cabin with two paying adults receive a 50% discount. Children between the ages of 11-16 sharing a cabin with two paying adults receive a 35% discount. Port taxes are not discounted.
Initial deposit is 30%, and most travelers will call our office and pay the deposit with a credit card.
Final payment is due 70 days prior to departure by bank transfer, check or credit card. All final payments by credit card may be subject to a surcharge and maximum of $20,000 charge
