Cahuella
Constructed
in 1998, the Cahuella is a 50-foot motor yacht used on our Chile
by Sea tour, which explores the northern Patagonian fjords. She
is named after a mythic dolphin that is said to swim with the legendary
ghost ship, El Caleuche, which is believed to sail the waters
around Chiloe, protecting wildlife and good souls.
The Cahuella's cheerful green hull welcomes her guests, who will enjoy both the whimsical color of her exterior and the cozy cabins and rich wood of the interior. She features four guest cabins (two with upper/lower berths, one cabin with two twin beds, and one with a double bed) and two heads (bathrooms) with hot water showers. The yacht is crewed by a Chilean Navy certified captain, first mate, and machinist, a talented cook, and a bilingual guide. Liability insurance is provided by Cruz del Sur, the largest insurance company in Chile.
