HOME » Costa Rica Travel » Montana Monteverde This is our primary hotel choice in this location, though availability is not guaranteed. If a given hotel is not available for your tour date, we will reserve you a room at a hotel of similar appeal and quality in the same area. Montana Monteverde
Over 2000 plant species are native of the area; more than 320 birds and 100 mammals have been observed. Outstanding species include the Black Guan, Great Green Macaw, Resplendent Quetzal, Three-wattled Bellbird, Bare-necked Umbrella bird, Baird's Tapir, Jaguar and Ocelot. The most brightly colored of all toads (El Sapo Dorado) occurs only in this one small part of the Monteverde Cloud Forest.

Adjacent to the lodge is a 15-hectare private forest, offering excellent
mountain views and trails, including a small pond for the guests enjoyment.
