Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Passengers board the M/V Antarctic Dream. There you will be greeted by your Expedition Leader and staff and shown to your cabin. Check-in will begin at 4:00 PM on departure day.
Day 2-3: Drake Passage
Sail towards the Antarctic Convergence, a biological barrier where cold polar waters sink beneath the warmer waters of the more temperate zone. On your second day of navigation through the Drake Passage, you'll start seeing the first glimpse of the White Continent.
Day 4: Villa Esperanza & Brown Bluff
In the morning arrive at Hope Bay, right in front of Mount Flora on the Antarctic Sound. The Antarctic Sound was named after the vessel used in the Nordenskjold Expedition 1902—1904. Landing operations will start at the historical site where the Argentinean Base Esperanza is set. Here you will have your first close encounter with Gentoo and Adelie penguins that nest close to the base. Sailing through tabular icebergs you will go south into the Antarctic Sound till you reach Brown Bluff. This dark rocky cliff is surrounded by incredible glaciers.
Day 5: Paulet Island & Astrolabe Island
Overnight, sail up to Paulet Island. Here you will find a huge Adelie penguin's colony, one of the two penguin species considered truly Antarctic. You many also find a colony of blue eyed shags on the volcanic scree slopes. At this site, find the remains of a stone refuge built by the "Antarctic" shipwrecked survivors, crushed by heavy ice at the Weddell Sea on 1903.
Day 6: Cuverville Island & Paradise Bay
Sail south west to Cuverville Island, site of the largest Gentoo penguin colony on Antarctica. Cruising into Herrera Channel up to Paradise Bay, on the north shore, high mountains raise up to 1000 meters on the south shore of the Andean Mountain extension range. This is your best chance for a zodiac cruise following the coast line, contemplating glaciers and cliffs. Port Lockroy sits on Goudier Island. The island holds a small museum, surrounded by a Gentoo penguin rookery, that developed through the 80́s long after humans had built the base on this spot.
Day 7: Deception Island & Half Moon
Explore the coast of the South Shetland Islands. Depending on wind and swell conditions, the Captain and expedition leader will coordinate a landing either on Deception Island or Halfmoon Island, Yankee Harbor or Robert Point.
Day 8: Punta Arenas, Chile / Northbound Flight
Fildes Bay is your final call for this expedition, which is the site of the Chilean Base Frei. After a short visit to the base facilities ready yourself to head back via airplane, to Punta Arenas – Chile, over the northern coast of the straights of Magellan. You will go back home as ambassadors for the White Continent, to share your amazing experiences with your friends.
Please note: It is recommended to schedule an extra night in Punta Arenas in case of any delays with the return flight before taking your independent flight home.

The trip was terrific with great planning on your part. Most of the adventures were not mainstream and somewhat off the beaten path which made it especially enjoyable!! We felt taken care of and you all were readily available to respond to questions and issues. I would highly recommend your company and friends have already expressed interest based on our pictures and excitement.

Hannah and Nur got the gist of what we wanted our trip to be. They got us in hotels that were located centrally to historic tours. Tours and excursions that were significant, enriching and enjoyable. We had drivers that were on time/reliable. We got from location to location with ease. I would never have been able to plan this myself. I would not have known enough to ask for what we needed. This was above and beyond what I expected. Well done!
