Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Take an excursion to the Abbey of Melk which is perched up high on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Danube. It is the symbol of Austrian baroque at its finest. After your tour get back on board, and spend the afternoon cruising toward Vienna. Arrive in Vienna, and enjoy some free time with a possibility to attend a concert of Viennese music (optional and depending on availability).
Join the excursions proposed: CLASSIC: Guided visit of Schoenbrunn Palace and with its magnificent park, the former summer residence of the Emperor of Austria and his family.
DISCOVERY: The high art of Viennese living: Music and Viennese cafes. You'll stroll through the city and visit back stage in the Konzerthaus concert hall. After your tour, enjoy a steaming cup of Vienna Coffee and a delicious pastry.
After your visits, you'll begin to cruise to Bratislava. Join the excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Guided tour of Bratislava, dominated to the north by the slopes of the southern tip of the Little Carpathians and bathed by the Danube. Its charm is found in its old town, with its splendid Baroque palaces, churches and pleasant squares.
DISCOVERY: Hiking in Bratislava: The Little Carpathians. From Devin Castle, you'll take in the splendid view of Bratislava.
Arrive in Budapest. Join the excursions proposed: CLASSIC: Sightseeing tour of Budapest, once two distinct cities that united only in 1873. Buda, on one bank with its rolling hills and valleys; and Pest, on the other, with its flatter landscape that offers a panoramic view over the banks of the Danube. Both are on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
DISCOVERY: Budapest by bike. You'll see all the important sights of the city on an easy-paced ride, cycling through the historical center of Hungarian culture and many other legendary sites in Budapest.
The afternoon is free to do as you please. Join an optional excursion (not included in the packages): Discover Gellert baths and spa. In the evening, join an excursion for both packages: Evening of traditional entertainment in Budapest. The ship will cruise through the night.
Day 5: Kalocsa, Hungary | Mohacs, Hungary | Bezdan,Serbia
The next adventure takes you to Kalocsa where you can enjoy an exceptional tour of the Puszta (Great Hungarian Plain), which in the 19th century was the wild west of Hungary with a lot of herds in custody of the cowboys. Go back on board and start cruising toward Mohács, crossing the Serbian border and continuing toward Novi Sad. Enjoy an evening of entertainment on board.
Arrive in Novi Sad. Join the excursions proposed: CLASSIC: Guided visit of Novi Sad, the industrial and financial center of the Serbian economy and a major cultural center.
DISCOVERY: Novi Sad and a walk to the Petrovaradin fortress. Leave the ship for an energetic walk to the Petrovaradin Fortress. Stroll along the riverfront before climbing the 200 steps up to the fortress. The view from the fort is splendid, and you'll enjoy a snack during your hike.
The ship will begin to cruise to Belgrade. The afternoon will be spent cruising, before arriving in the Serbian capital in the evening. In the evening, join an excursion for both packages: Evening of traditional entertainment in Belgrade.
Join the excursions proposed: CLASSIC: Guided tour of Belgrade. Known for its high cultural influence during the Turkish occupation, the city charms you with its Eastern, Slavic and Austrian heritage. The lively Terazije Square is considered the heart of the city.
DISCOVERY: Biking in Belgrade. You'll cycle along the history-filled streets with your guide, who'll explain the city's recent past from World War II to current times.
The afternoon will be spent cruising to Donji Milanovac.
Spend the day sailing, passing through customs. An elegant viaduct towers over the mouth of the river and you can see the “portrait” of the old Dacian King Decebalus carved into the rock face. Enjoy an exclusive gala evening on board.
Arrive in Ruse, one of the great Bulgarian ports. The town is a perfect blend of Bulgarian and Romanian culture. Take a sightseeing tour of the Rusenski-Lom Valley, near the village of Ivanovo, to discover the churches and monastery chapels that were all dug out of the rock by the first hermits to settle in the area in the 12th century. In the afternoon, tour the city of Ruse. Discover a fun and cultural Folk evening on board.
Depart in the early morning and arrive in Giurgiu. Join an incredible excursion to Bucharest. In the 1930s, Bucharest was nicknamed “Little Paris” due to its long boulevards lined with trees. Return on board in Oltenita. Cruise toward Tulcea and be part of an exclusive dancing evening on board.
Arrive in Tulcea. Join the excursions proposed: CLASSIC: The Danube Delta. You'll tour the Danube Delta and enjoy the flora and fauna, see the multiple natural and artificial canals, and walk away with impressions that will last a lifetime.
DISCOVERY: Delta Danube on a speed boat. On board a 7-passenger speed boat, you'll tour the Danube Delta and enjoy the flora and fauna.
Return on board in Tulcea. Enjoy a traditional folklore evening.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.

The response from Adventure Life to my first inquiry was prompt and promising. I worked with Jamie Broeckel, Trip Planner, via text, email, and phone calls- always extremely responsive and thorough with information and explaining the process to arrange a private tour for me to Malaysia Borneo. Within about week, the booking was complete and I made decisions because of Jamie's great customer service , friendly manner, and overall competence on behalf of the company's travel expertise. Now I have an itinerary, additional Trip Planner Assistants, several links for vital information for traveling to Maylasia, etc. Still many details for Sept. trip, but now the heavy lifting is done and I can enjoy the rest of the anticipation and research!! The trip was not only memorable for the amount of animals we saw but also for the people and accommodations at the two camps where we stayed. Our first guide, BK, was a wealth of information about the animals, landscape and down to the plants and what they were used for. Everyday out was a learning experience with him. All the people at the camps were gracious and the food was excellent.
Our second camp in the Okavanga was just as good as the first as far as the staff, accommodations, food and animals. After our experience at the first camp we amazed that the high quality remained the same. Our guide, G, made sure we were able to enjoy every experience including a rush through the bush to witness a cheetah and an ensuing hunt that he heard over his radio.
In both camps there were enough guides out that if they saw something the other guides were informed which helped in seeing as much as possible. It was also nice that the concessions were large enough that we did not have vehicles following each other throughout the day.
Normally there is always something in a trip of this length that we think could be improved upon but this is the rare case where we cannot think of anything. From the time we left the States to when we returned it was one of the most hassle free vacations we took.
Perhaps emphasizing the use of the laundry facilities at the camps would be useful because of the luggage restrictions would be the only thing I can think of as an improvement to future clients.
