Best known as the host of legendary Transylvania, Romania is full of charming cities and scenic beauty. The myth & history of Dracula will come alive as you tour the city of Brasov, surrounded by the majestic Carpathian Mountains. Just a short drive from here you will find the ornate Neo-Renaissance Peles Castle at Sinaia. You will then learn why the booming city of Bucharest was nicknamed "Little Paris." And Tulcea is a small hilly town at the entrance to the Danube delta into the Black Sea. Giurgiu, Oltenita, Cernavoda & Fetesti are several other traditional towns our cruises visit. The longer Danube River cruises also sail to Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, & Serbia, where you will experience European history in active ways like bicycling through the countryside or walking tours of the ancient cities.
