From Corinth to Athens, sail in the footsteps of the Greek Gods and discover their most remarkable legends as well as their sumptuous dedicated temples. Discover the heart of the Cyclades, a string of islands scattered on the azure waters of the Aegean Sea like precious gemstones. Sail in the splendid Bay of Kotor and pass through the Corinth Canal, ending in Athens.
Highlights
Tour the Rector's Palace, Franciscan Monastery, and baroque cathedral
Sun bathe and swim at Nagagio Beach in Zakynthos
Sail through the Corinth Canal, that separates the Greece from the Peloponnese
Walk the sacred island of Delos and visit the shrines of Apollo and Artemis
Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Today discover Hvar, a fertile island of pale stone houses surrounded by rosemary, lavender, and laurel. Drive to the 16th century hill top Spagnola Fortress for spectacular views of Hvar Town and Pakleni Island. Enjoy a walking tour of Hvar including a visit to the 17th century Municipal Theater; the Franciscan Monastery and its small gallery; the Venetian Loggia; and the Benedictine Cloister and Arsenal.
This morning explore the exceptionally scenic Mljet Island, which local legend identifies with Calypso and Odysseus’s seven year dalliance. Then sail to Dubrovnik, one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval cities and a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city contains within its ramparts the Rector’s Palace; the Franciscan Monastery, which houses a 13th-century pharmacy (the oldest in Europe); and the baroque Cathedral, with works by Renaissance painters Titian and Andrea del Sarto. There is time at leisure for independent exploration.
Sail the deep, fjord-like Bay of Kotor to reach the port town of the same name, located at the head of the bay beneath towering mountains. One of the most striking and best-preserved towns along the Adriatic coast, Kotor is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. A tour of this delightful town reveals its magnificent walls, palaces, and churches, including the 12th century St. Tryphon Cathedral, Lapidarium and the Maritime Museum.
This morning the ship passes through the Corinth Canal, the narrow waterway that separates the Greek mainland from the Peloponnese. In the afternoon, arrive at Hydra, the only Greek island free of wheeled vehicles. Walk along its gorgeous port, view the exquisitely preserved stone architecture, and browse the shops.
Call at the sacred island of Delos, which legend identifies as the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. A walking tour leads to the excavation of the main shrines of Apollo and Artemis, as well as to the Terrace of the Lions, guardians of the Sacred Lake. Continue to the island of Mykonos with its white cubic houses, characteristic windmills, and numerous chapels. Formerly a quiet fishing town, Mykonos is now a sophisticated island resort with smart cafes and boutiques. Enjoy time relaxing and swimming on this beautiful island.

The response from Adventure Life to my first inquiry was prompt and promising. I worked with Jamie Broeckel, Trip Planner, via text, email, and phone calls- always extremely responsive and thorough with information and explaining the process to arrange a private tour for me to Malaysia Borneo. Within about week, the booking was complete and I made decisions because of Jamie's great customer service , friendly manner, and overall competence on behalf of the company's travel expertise. Now I have an itinerary, additional Trip Planner Assistants, several links for vital information for traveling to Maylasia, etc. Still many details for Sept. trip, but now the heavy lifting is done and I can enjoy the rest of the anticipation and research!! Thanks Jamie- you are amazing!!!!

The trip was not only memorable for the amount of animals we saw but also for the people and accommodations at the two camps where we stayed. Our first guide, BK, was a wealth of information about the animals, landscape and down to the plants and what they were used for. Everyday out was a learning experience with him. All the people at the camps were gracious and the food was excellent.
Our second camp in the Okavanga was just as good as the first as far as the staff, accommodations, food and animals. After our experience at the first camp we amazed that the high quality remained the same. Our guide, G, made sure we were able to enjoy every experience including a rush through the bush to witness a cheetah and an ensuing hunt that he heard over his radio.
In both camps there were enough guides out that if they saw something the other guides were informed which helped in seeing as much as possible. It was also nice that the concessions were large enough that we did not have vehicles following each other throughout the day.
Normally there is always something in a trip of this length that we think could be improved upon but this is the rare case where we cannot think of anything. From the time we left the States to when we returned it was one of the most hassle free vacations we took.
Perhaps emphasizing the use of the laundry facilities at the camps would be useful because of the luggage restrictions would be the only thing I can think of as an improvement to future clients.
