Ecuador for two

Adventure-Life arranged an awesome tour for two of us old folk to the Galapagos, island-hopping; to the Oriente (Amazon); to Quito; to the Bosque Nublado (cloud forest). I am in awe that any company could do this complex travel at all, let alone arrange a trip with every day memorable.

Back in Quito, but it's Sunday, so no way to get laundry done... and we won't be here long enough to dry any washed by hand. Problems of the rich.

A boat took us to Santa Cruz for our last afternoon on Galapagos, a little time to shop. For me, a time to wander around and get lost, but a cab for $1 found me! We had a little more time to admire …

We were actually on this island for TWO WHOLE nights! - a blessing for us because we have only carry-on luggage and need a spell to dry some clean clothes. I went to the turtle nursery, swam and had …

The Santa Cruz exploration was great fun; we went to the highlands, and I had the best espresso I was to have on the whole trip on a farm. There were a few other hightlights! but I am an espresso …

No time to snore in La Rabida Hostal much upon arrival, so we were glad we had come in last evening instead of the midnight flight: The Adventure-Life escort had us up at 5am to take us to a plane to …

smooth flights. Our host hotel was easy to get to from the airport, so we flagged a yellow cab. The fare was $8 instead of the $50 it would have been to hire an escort.
