| Fri: |
|
Morning:
Arrival at Baltra Airport where our guide will transport you
to the ship to begin your Galapagos cruise. The crew will
welcome you with a special lunch. Baltra is the main entrance
to the islands and is connected to Santa Cruz island through
the Itabaca Channel. This island was a strategic point during
WWII.
Afternoon:
Visit Bachas beach located 45 minutes from Baltra Port. This
place is great for swimming. During the marine turtle breeding
season, turtles can often be seen near the white sand beach.
Nearby are ponds frequented by flamingos. Return to the ship
for dinner and welcome cocktails.

Morning:
After a nocturnal sea voyage of approximately 3 hours, we
will arrive at Rábida
Island. Breakfast will be served before starting the land
visit. This island has a dark red beach, a favorite sunbathing
area for sea lions. The vegetation is dense and the sea lions
have constructed paths to swim in a nearby lagoon, which often
has flamingos and small ducks. Following a footpath, we reach
a cavern with clear water and a variety of fish. Further on
is a magnificent view of the lagoon and beach.
Back at the beach, you can do some swimming and snorkeling among
large schools of multi-colored fish. After our visit, continue
on to Bartolomé
island, approximately 2 hours away. Lunch will be served on
arrival. For those who like adventure, you can climb through
large lava rocks to the volcanic cone, where you will have an
incredible panoramic view of the islands. On this island you
may see the resident penguins and have a chance to snorkel in
the clear waters.
Afternoon:
Visit Bahia Sulivan on Santiago
island where you can walk on lava formations, which erupted
more than a hundred years ago and observe cactus growing on
lava and pioneer plants such as "mollogu".
Return to the ship for dinner and a night voyage of about 6
hours to Genovesa
island.

| Sun: |
|
Breakfast will be served before
the visit. On this island we will have the chance to see red
footed boobies, fur seals, marine iguanas, tropical birds, masked
boobies, frigate birds and two species of swallow-tailed gulls.
After lunch, we will visit the "Escalera del Principe"
(Prince stairway) where we can observe a variety of birds and
rock precipices.
Later, return to the ship for dinner and a night voyage of about
7 hours to the Plaza islands.
|
| Mon: |
|
After breakfast we start our tour
at South
Plaza island, formed by a submarine uplift. This island
has a unique plant "sesuvium", and sceneries in red,
yellow, orange, and green accompanied by impressive, large cacti.
On this island we will also find a great colony of sea lions
and the spectacular tropical bird.
The 5D/4N cruise guests will join the yacht on this day.
After a voyage of two and a half hours, we arrive at Puerto
Ayora on Santa
Cruz island, where you will have lunch and visit the Charles
Darwin Research Station, internationally recognized for its
conservation works. This is also the headquarters of the Galapagos
National Park Service where you can observe the scientific advances
and conservation works of the various animal and plant species
from each of the islands in nurseries and hothouses. Afterwards
you can visit the city to buy souvenirs and experience the nightlife
of this tourist town.
|
| Tue: |
|
After breakfast, we will visit the highlands of Santa
Cruz where we can observe the "Gemelos" (Twins),
two craters surrounded by scalesia trees, a reserve of Galapagos
turtles in natural habitat, Darwin finches and other birdlife.
We return to the yacht for lunch and then travel two hours
to Santa
Fe island. Here, you can admire the giant cactus forest
and sparrow hawks, enjoy the beach, or go snorkeling. Later,
have dinner on the ship and voyage about five hours to Española
island.
|
| Wed: |
|
After breakfast we visit the southernmost
island of Española.
Española remote location,
promits a high proportion of endemic fauna. For example it
is the breeding site of nearly all of the world's 12,000 pairs
of waved albatrosses. These large birds perform one of the
most spectacular rituals of the animal world. Watching them
take off is an unforgettable moment. Española teems
with mockingbirds, blue-footed and masked boobies, Darwin
finches, Galapagos doves, hawks, red and green marine iguanas,
and sea lions.
Gardener Bay offers great opportunities
for enjoying some beach time in the Galapagos. Here the mockingbirds
will be the center of your attention as they keep you company
on top of your hat or investigating your belongings.
Punta Suarez is quite an amazing
site and one of the most attractive in the Galapagos, because
of the quantity and variety of wildlife. The trail along the
island will take you past sea lions surfing the breaking waves,
iguanas basking in the warm sun and boobies nesting right
in your path. The trail continues towards the cliffs and the
blowhole, which is a fissure in the lava where water spurts
high in the air like a geyser.
|
| Thu: |
|
After breakfast, you will have a
wet landing on Floreana
and walk through vegetation to arrive at a white sand beach.
The Devil's Crown is the most visited site on this island, consisting
of a group of volcanic formations where you can try snorkeling
amongst the resident sharks.
After lunch you will visit Post Office Bay, Cormorant Point
and Flamingo Lagoon. Ask about Floreana's tragic story of Baroness
Wagner and her three lovers. After dinner there will be a seven
hour night voyage to Seymour Island.
|
| Fri: |
|
After breakfast, visit North
Seymour island, which was formed by a submarine uplift,
Find white coral fossils and possibly see swallow tailed gulls,
frigate birds and blue footed boobies.
Then voyage to Baltra Airport for your flight home.
