Day 1: Reykjavik, Iceland | Embark

Arrive in Reykjavík, the world’s northernmost capital, just south of the Arctic Circle. After your airport transfer, spend some time exploring the city on your own. In the afternoon, stop by the hospitality desk, then board the ship to begin your adventure.

Day 2-3: Crossing the Denmark Strait | At Sea

Cruise across the Denmark Strait, linking the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans. The Strait features the world's largest waterfall, created by strong currents and glaciers. Attend expert talks, unwind with a book in the lounge or on the observation deck, and watch for whales as the ship crosses the continental shelf.

Day 4-8: King Frederick VI Land, Greenland

Spend the days exploring the coastal wilds of Southeast Greenland, a dynamic region known for its striking landscapes of towering peaks and active glaciers which connect to the Greenlandic Ice Sheet. The East Greenlandic current also spends much of the summer pushing icebergs down the coast from the North Pole. Experience a true sense of adventure as you discover unknown, wild areas aboard purpose-built ships designed to navigate even the most extreme conditions.

Take in stunning views from the Bridge of unexplored fjords like Skjoldungen, Lindenow and Timmiarmiut; Zodiac cruise along glaciers that continue to push out from the Ice Sheet; and hike into the backcountry with polar bear guards, keeping an eye out for the newly established resident population in this region. At archaeological sites along King Frederick VI Coast, gain insight into the Paleo-Inuit and Thule peoples who researchers believe inhabited the area between 2500-800 BC.

Day 9: At Sea

Spend a relaxing day at sea en route back to Iceland as you take advantage of the onboard amenities at your own pace. Join the ship’s officers on the Bridge and keep a watchful eye for migrating whales, attend an engaging presentation by naturalists and experts, or enjoy a wellness treatment at the spa.

Day 10: Reyjavik, Iceland | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast
Disembark in Reykjavík and transfer to the airport for flights home.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
