Day 1: Arrive in Saariselkä, Finland | Transfer to Log Cabin

Welcome to Lapland, the largest and northernmost region of Finland. Upon arrival at Ivalo Airport, meet your guide for a short transfer to the Arctic wilderness of Saariselkä or Kiilopää, where your Lapland adventure in snow-covered forests begins.

Day 2: Snowshoe Hiking Activity

On this day, go on a snowshoe hike across quiet trails and snowy forests to explore the magical, frozen beauty of Lapland’s winter landscape under crisp skies and soft Arctic light.

Day 3: Backcountry Ski Introduction

Today, after a hearty breakfast, get your feet warmed up and ready to learn to use Nordic backcountry skis. Glide along a gentle trail surrounded by snow-covered trees and Arctic silence. Practice basic techniques as you move through rolling terrain at a relaxed pace, getting familiar with your skis today and preparing for your ski tour adventure tomorrow.

Day 4-5: Overnight Ski Tour

Begin a two-day ski tour into the remote Arctic wilderness with your guide and small group. Travel across snowy fells and through forests before reaching a rustic hut with no electricity or running water. Collaborate with your fellow adventurers to chop wood, light a fire, gather water, and cook meals by hand in the warmth of the wilderness hut. Take this unique opportunity to disconnect from modern comforts and immerse yourself in the Finnish wilderness.

If the overnight ski tour sounds a bit too challenging, and you prefer to stay at the cozy log cabin instead of venturing out to the hut, you are welcome to choose comfort over adventure today as well. Either way, the night in Lapland offers a deep connection to its raw, tranquil landscape.

Cold air sharpens your focus as you move through the quiet wilderness, tracing winding paths and gentle slopes. This ride blends adventure and stillness; it's fast, fun, and deeply connected to the land.

Feel the thrill of steering the dogs across frozen landscapes, the only sounds being their paws and the sled’s runners as you glide.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
