Your Greenlandic journey begins with your arrival at Sisimiut Airport, where Hotel SØMA warmly welcomes you. Enjoy the view over the harbor and the mountains during the drive to Sisimiut. Today, you will check in and meet the local guide who will be with you every skiing day. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
On the first days of your adventure, travel on day trips to explore some of the most notable summits in Sisimiut, including Nasasaaq (784 meters / 2,573 feet) and Palasip Qaqqa (466 meters / 1,529 feet). These peaks offer stunning views of the Amerloq fjord and the town area, and they can be accessed directly from town or via a short snowmobile ride. The region provides routes for all skill levels, and the most experienced groups will have the opportunity to link several summits in a single day.
After a long day out, enjoy an evening in the Hotel SØMA's Arctic spa and sauna.
Day 5-6: Hiking and Skiing in Aqqutikitsoq Glacier Area
After breakfast, take a two-hour snowmobile ride to reach the Aqqutikitsoq Glacier, renowned for having the highest peaks in the region. Locals appreciate the Aqqutikitsoq for its dramatic landscapes, steep rock walls, and sense of seclusion. Ski tours begin at sea level and can ascend to altitudes of up to 1,600 meters (5,250 feet), providing various options suitable for groups of all skill levels. Spend the night in a mountain hut, which offers several trip opportunities right from its doorstep. Please note that accessing this area can be challenging during adverse weather conditions, so the program may be adapted as needed.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
