Trek four days in one of Iceland's most remote regions. Hike in East Vatnajökull National Park on this Iceland hiking tour which starts at Mt. Snæfell and stays in three various mountain huts en route to the old farmstead of Eskifell in the Lónsöræfi region. On this Iceland trek, you have the opportunity to admire stunning landscapes, including the Tröllakrókar Cliffs, views from Geldingafell Mountain, and colorful rhyolite hills. Wild reindeer do roam this area certain times of year and may be spotted by keen observers. Stay in comfortable mountain huts on this light backpacking trek, and arrive finding your day's rations already stocked up for you. Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
