Mara Plains Camp is a seven-tent camp in the 13,000-hectare Olare Motorogi Conservancy on the northern end of Maasai Mara National Reserve. Explore the broad hills, which are home to grazers like giraffes, zebras, hartebeests, and warthogs. Expect big cats in the reserve, which is home to Africa's largest concentration of the species. Several lion pride territories meet here, which can make for some interesting encounters as the different groups battle for dominance. Outside your front door, game drives begin. This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).

Mary was super helpful and patient. Answered every question and with candor (answers of “Everything’s equally great” aren’t helpful! 😎).

The trip planner I worked with, Jane, was excellent. She had travelled to Antarctica twice and was the voice of experience as she explained travel options to me. I've travelled internationally for many years for many years for business and pleasure including a number of adventure trips. It is a delight to work with such an experienced planner. I've used Adventure Life for three trips, Costa Rica, Galapagos and upcoming, Antarctica. I highly recommend them.
