Mulanje Mountain Hut

Sombani was built in 1961 to replace an earlier hut that burned down in 1956. It has two rooms and can sleep up to 10 people. It serves as an excellent starting point for climbs of the dramatic Namasile Peak (2,687m), which is direct across from the hut's front door, the more challenging and dramatic Matambale Peak (2,642m), and even the southern Chinzama (2,666m).
