The opportunity to explore these beautiful coastal towns in Italy, France, and Spain was such a treat. We weren't able to visit Sete, France, and Palamos, Spain as planned. But we were able to visit Tarragona instead which ended up being my favorite place. Just remember not to get married to specific itineraries and be along for the ride with cruises. We had some lovely excursions while onshore. One to Eze, the other was outside of Marseille to a local winery, and my mom's favorite, Familia Sagrada in Barcelona. If exploring on your own, it required some independence and ability to get your own taxi or navigate the local transportation services.
